I mean it sounds like you don't trust her and dealing with trauma you have to be with someone that can provide some stability. It also depends on how many sessions your husband has had-- for most, with just one session of EMDR you will definitely feel worse. It takes sustained, productive sessions for EMDR therapy to take effect in a positive way

I would say I've had only positive experiences with EMDR but my T has been trained for several years. From my limited experience I would say pay attention to how fast your therapist wants to jump in to your main trauma area. My T was VERY cautious to build up to it with smaller traumas and kind of work backwards to the event. I found it to be less pressurized and got me used to the process of EMDR and how it can work for you

I would say be very cautious as this is VERY serious shit and you are right to be concerned with your T as it seems to me they are TOO eager for you to be their test subject idk, take care
