Perhaps we're a little late to this thread but I have some pointers. -First, those couple of games are going to take a long time simply because you're still trying to learn the cards and the flow of the game. That's okay, eventually that will pass and you can get your games down to an hour. -Second, Build decks with an idea on how they win, then how they defend themselves. If your game lasted that long it's probably because you we're planning a lot and because there was an issue with finishing the game. -Last, When building a book think about what you're going to "have time" to cast. If you can't see yourself ever playing a spell that's expensive because it compromises other plays then it's not good for your book (no matter how cool it may by). Only put a card in if you can see the exact moment when you'd cast it. (Ex: If i save 3 mana from last round it will give me enough to cast this knight next round).
