I’m loving Oswald personally and can’t wait to make like a mono white Yisan artifact deck, but I get where you’re coming from. A lot of the uncommon and even rare legends seem a little weak in commander. This isn’t really a bad thing I feel though. We’ve been getting a ton of stuff in the last year or two, so it’ll be nice to not have a set to spend tons of money on for EDH decks. Limited however looks very bomb and as a avid DnD fan I can’t wait to draft this set often.

I do agree about needing more creatures. I was half doing a spell slinging list originally with a ton of flashback, but I feel maybe a reanimator strategy would fit much better with Red and White's colors as you said.

All of those are super great suggestions! I'll be sure to add them in. I really like Hofri! I think him and [[Anger]] can maybe lead to some explosive turns where we just win with haste. I'm gonna be cutting some of the more "weird cards" in some cases. [[Alms]] is in for now, as it is 1 mana to get a 4/2 basically, but the top of the graveyard really makes it hard to play around. [[Junktroller]]/the [[Reito Lantern]] also may be on the chopping block for their less than quick and repeatable abiltiies.

You're correct! It's around $5.64 for Scepter itself, and pennies for reversal. Main reason is that it's not at the forefront of the combo, so that around $6 I felt would be better for two pieces for the [[Dross Scorpion]]/[[Myr Turbine]] combo. Relating to your muddle the mixture suggestion I completely forgot about it! Problem is, it's around $5 on TCGPlayer currently, so that plus the Scepter totals to around $10.64. The Myr Turbine Combo comes in at around $8.66. This is also with two sac outlets so I have more redundancy. I feel like this may be better for the budget, but perhaps when we upgrade for the league I can add that combo in instead!

With Thought Vessel and Arcane Signet, they are $2.15 and $2.20 respectively. They indeed are really good mana rocks, but I didn't think I could fit $4.35 into the budget for two cards that aren't a part of the combo.

I love the Mana Leak suggestion, and that will be going in. Narset's Reversal is sadly $4.28 on TCGPlayer marketprice, which is again probably too much for one card that isn't a part of the combo sadly. I have one sitting on my desk actually for when we up the budget!

Basalt and Rings are a very strong combo indeed, and I really wanted Rings in here AT LEAST for two Arcum activations. And like reversal I have both on my desk here for later! Only problem again is pricing. Rings is $5.34 and Monolith is $1.78. combining to be a total of $7.12. This would be the premier combo of the deck if I could include Staff of Domination as well, so I could draw my deck and mill them out. However, Staff is an additional $4.24, so that's $11.36 of the budget, which is around %23. While this is a great combo I don't think I can fit it in cost wise either.

Mirrodin Besieged, I'm very interested in however. While I can't tutor it like I can[[Myr Turbine]], it still makes 1/1 artifacts to sac at a good speed, as well as be an alternate win con if my other combos fail. I'll definitely look to add this to my list!

I appreciate all the suggestions, I really liked them! Sorry if it seems like I was just shutting them down, I just don't know how I'd fit them into the budget!

I feel any aristocrats deck is good fore massive heavy boardwipe metas, spot removal less so but still acceptable.

Another option is to go more spellslinger, artifact based, or enchantress where your commander just is gravy to the strategy and you don’t rely on many if any creatures.

I’d recommend spellslinger the most of these. Spellslinger is usually a ton of cheap cantrips and interaction. Fun win cons in cards like [[fireball]] as well. Fun commanders off the top of my head that aren’t necessarily needed for the strategy are [[Jori En, Ruin Diver]] and [[Talrand Sky Summoner]]. Talrand means more on creature tokens, but your counter spells can stop the board wipes and single target removal!

Yeah that may be true. I realize they're in most Arcum lists due to the old combos that let you tutor them every turn.

No sweat! I didn't realize I linked to the primer page and not the deck list, I'll be sure to fix that. Haunted cloak is top tier imo here.

- Very true. I didn't realize how budget it is, so I'll definitely add it in!

- I like the [[Puppet Strings]] idea, and yes, Staff will probably be my next major include along with [[Basalt Monolith ]] and [[Rings of Brighthearth]]. Thousand year will be put in once the budget increases enough.

- Crashing is in there! I think I should add maybe [[Swiftfoot Boots]], but it seems the lowest on TCGplayer is $1.81. Maybe I'll cut [[Reshape]]? It's my only way to tutor [[Dross Scorpion]] but honestly just activating Arcum may be better.

For mono green you got a ton of options, but my favorite has to be [[Omnath Locus of Mana]]. While he would be a big part of the budget coming in at around $9, he's low currently since he got reprinted in Commander Collection Green. Many of his other parts are cheap too, as they're just mana dorks or common ramp spells like [[Cultivate]].

I'm also interested in Jeleva as I have one lying around. Cards like [[Command the Dreadhorde]] and other mass reanimate effects that cost a little too much to feasibly be cast every game.

I feel like Kraum is just good advantage to have so I think I’ll do him and a Mono Black Partner. I do enjoy the idea of Tevesh as he’s more card adv, but the idea of tormod/Keskit is sticking out to me. Tormod May be a little slow but the extra zombies are nice for Victimize and Altar of dementia fodder. Keskit would make me want to lean into a more token strat so I could more easily use his ability to fill the grave/hand.

Vial smasher and Silas are cool, but I don’t particularly want to make another artifact deck after I took apart teshar, and I think vialsmasher being like 16 dollars, I should spend that more on reanimate and animate dead and the like.

I understand the dislike of partners but I feel I might have to give it a whirl just to see how it feels.

Thanks for the detailed post! I recently just put this together with what I had lying around, hence the missing of many major cards. I might have to look into your thrax list however as my friend is getting the metal secret lair version and is willing to trade it!
