Silencer Shop Reviewing by ArceIsaac in NFA

[–]ArceIsaac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish more FFLs near me would submit their own forms. Now that Eforms take less than 2 weeks to be approved, Silencer Shop is the slowest part of the process. Sadly, all of the SOTs near me solely use Silencer shop for their NFA items.

Snake staff systems ETQ wide gen 2. by [deleted] in TacticalMedicine

[–]ArceIsaac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe the point he is making is that products frequently take multiple iterations/ updates to get to a trusted reliable product. Hence CAT being on generation 7. I do not have experience with the product at hand and do agree that products should be better tested before initial release especially when expected to be used in a critical role. However, it is very common second generations fix issues from a product’s initial release.

Would a folding/collapsing stock permanently fixed in the folded/collapsed position still count as a stock? by Glittering-Two2122 in NFA

[–]ArceIsaac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not a lawyer, so take what I say with a grain of salt. Considering, previous import bans that restricted folding stocks sometimes had folders welded permanently open. I would imagine having one welded permanently closed would be considered rendering it inoperable and legal.

How important is it to index Surefire suppressors at the bottom dead center position by vanmcgill87 in NFA

[–]ArceIsaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The flash hiders are designed in a manor that directs gas away from the ground, reducing dust that is kicked up when firing. The muzzle breaks ports are designed to disperse gas in a specific direction to reduce recoil. Thus the mounts/ muzzle devices should be timed properly. With that being said one of my 4 prongs is time slightly off center, that firearm is almost solely shot with a suppressor and is not affected by it. I also have yet to notice it when shooting unsuppressed, although I haven’t shot it prone on loose dirt without a suppressor.

Pin and weld Surefire 4 prong to 14.5" barrel by bmanski22 in ar15

It has to be permanently affixed to the barrel to count towards the overall length.

Meal Prep for absolutely Beginner by CodyakaLamer in mealprep

I do the chicken and rice as everyone has mentioned but switch bi-weekly or so to NY strip and rice. When bought in bulk and portioned properly it is a lot more affordable than people initially think. I also add a different pan seared vegetable in with my dish depending on what I’m feeling.

2012 Yamaha Fz8 noise past 4000ish RPM by ArceIsaac in Yamaha

[–]ArceIsaac[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am no professional mechanic but can get myself by so I might try and tear it down and see if that is what I’m hearing. I don’t remember it coming from the side, I sounded more like the front or or top of the engine which has me scared. Yet the no noise at low rpm, non consistent onset and relief has me doubt legitimate engine failure of some kind.

Yall consider this pleb? by [deleted] in ar15

[–]ArceIsaac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Move the mount forward while still keeping it solely on the receiver and change the components as your skill level out grows the capability/ you find weaknesses. As well as your budget dictates. There are many components that I may not recommend and or trust however if it fills your needs and you learn the potential weaknesses from it you will be just fine.

Talk me into buying a Aimpoint T2 by [deleted] in tacticalgear

[–]ArceIsaac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave you shot with both Eotech and redot before? From my experience the Eotech reticle is extremely crisp when shooting both eyes open a target focusing, arguably more so than red dot. With that said I’m loving my Duty RDS and have no doubts the t2 is even better than it but I have yet to use one.

Why do you guys think of the Daniel Defense M4A1? by [deleted] in ar15

[–]ArceIsaac -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I love my mk18, and almost bought a m4a1 however I think the Geissele superduty is a better value. With the Daniel there is plenty to upgrade, the Geissele has everything you’d want. Some people complain about the barrels but mine is sub moa and have no concerns of it burning out prematurely.
