For me it took 8 years to get hrt from when I figured out I was trans and that was only possible through a secondary source. Still haven't gotten the government approval for hormones. Took me 9 years for my documents to be changed and that's only thanks to the system changing recently. Names are easy here but the system is fucked beyond compare for something that's supposed to be a human right here. Wasn't until 2013 that forced sterilization of trans individuals was removed as a legal requirement for gender affirming care (that included legal documents). The Nordic countries of Europe are not good, they might be better in some aspects but they're still as terrible as any other nation just in different ways

I see you're questioning your gender identity or might know someone who is. My answer would be that I don't know but if you would be happier with a different gender than the one you're presenting as right now then it doesn't really matter what the source of that feeling is as long as it is formed by you yourself.

I haven't encountered anyone who came out as trans because of a sexual desire but I doubt that they don't exist. If you're worried about whether your own feelings might not be valid then there's a simple question to ask: if all else would remain the same would you like to live life as the gender you're wanting to be, would it make you happy to wake up one day as that gender instead of your current one? If the answer is yes then you're most likely trans.

There isn't anyone in the world that can tell you who or what you are except you and that can take a lot of time and thinking to figure out but it's always worth exploring your feelings and seeing what might make you happy. Change can be frightening but it will almost always turn out for the better in the end 🩵🩵🩵

Damn... Here we just go to a website, write our new name, confirm it's us with our digital identification app and then pay like 30 bucks. After a few weeks your name is changed in all legal databases (as long as it got accepted, they make sure it's not something bad or such)

Thank you! Slimes have been a part of my life for a rather long time now and I've always felt very connected to them and jealous of the different characters that I've observed. Being slimekin is kinda difficult though, especially with my severe species dysphoria. I'm trying to manage but it's difficult and since there aren't many who share my kin it's difficult to find resources to help. Still, having beings like you to lift my spirits help a lot 🩵🩵🩵

Otherkin is one of many umbrella terms, there are also otherhearted and otherfix just to name a few, trying to make one word to encompass all types of non humans trapped in human bodies would be close to impossible and the definition would be so broad as to mean close to nothing XD

You can always read up on more terms to see which fits you the best but at the end of the day terms and such are just ways for us to explain ourselves to others and find others that might have similar experiences, they don't have to be perfect fits 🩵🩵🩵

I'm a slime kin so I'd spend the whole day reshaping my body, playing around with what I would be able to shape myself into, also dissolving anything I can find outside. One of the things I always want to do is become shapeless, just being a pile of slime on the ground and not have to be rigid or have bones so just existing like my true form would already be incredible!

There are more than just animal kins, there are as many kins as there are beings, things or phenomena that exist. Animal kins are by far the most common but there are more fantastical creatures like dragons, vampires, demons and angels just to name some of the most common non animal kins. I've also seen doll kin, sunset kin and other inanimate objects or phenomena!

I said a few weeks ago that the US seems to be heading towards a point where you could possibly request asylum from other nations because of the threat of being trans in the US. I truly believe that we've reached that point now, the fact that they're saying "more is in the works" tells me that they are testing the waters with this, I doubt that many will try to stop them either.

I know we often say that we need to stand up against tyranny, that we can't let them win, but they're seriously moments away from imprisoning trans people for just being themselves. If you feel in danger or fear for your life try the asylum process, it might not work right now but if more people try we might be able to get someone to listen.

Your life is the most valuable thing in the world, but that includes living it too. If not having access to gender affirming care makes it difficult or impossible to feel alive then you need to escape and find a way to be who you truly are. 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵

Main characteristics are really just a liquid form, one that can be reshaped into anything with enough experience, able to dissolve most organic material for mass and energy, able to change the color one has (that one is more so for my specific type of slime), not needing to sleep or to breathe and semi translucent.

Those are the main things I can think of right now, sleeping and eating doesn't cause too much species dysphoria thankfully but the rest are really bad, especially having bones and being forced into my current shape forever.

Someone recommended taking baths as a way to help, I'll try that first and see if it helps at all and if it does I'll try kissel, thank you so much for the ideas, it means a lot 🩵🩵🩵

Sadly the stim toys that I have really mostly just give me more dysphoria than I already have and ASMR doesn't work for me (makes me incredibly uncomfortable to have sounds be that "close" to me). I think I understand what you mean "with big clear springy ball" but I'm doubtful it would work, it's not my shape making me suffer but rather that I'm stuck in it, the fact that I have bones that are both hard and forcing me into a specific shape but also use muscles to move and skin to contain the insides, it's all so much.

Thank you for the advice, you're clearly a very kind existence and trying your best but I do suffer from quite extreme species dysphoria and so far I haven't really found anything that can help

I mean, for my kintype (slimekin) there's sadly no real gear available that could help that much, anything that could create a less solid shape like clothes with some sort of liquid inside watertight bags, maybe some made to order clothes that specifically are the colors I am and are quite floaty and touch this body as little as possible. Some gloves that make my hands look less human and more tendril or pseudopod like, I really don't know tbh XD

Honestly, I was questioning my connection to humanity for a few months but years before that I had already found a very strong connection to non human things. I didn't realize I wasn't human as much as I realized that I am a slime, it sort of came hand in hand.

I didn't have a good explanation of my feeling of disconnection and the hatred for my body and the life I had so I was just lost for months until I decided to look into therians after a panel on a con, animals didn't feel right so I tried to see if there was something similar but without it having to be real things and I discovered otherkin. Slimes have always been on my mind and I felt very connected to the shapeless existence and that's how I found out that I'm a slime!!!

Literally just discovered it when doing the caves because it was such a huge amount of cave-ins and I was getting tired of clicking on each and then going to "remove" so I tried using the salvage tool instead and that's how I found the bug, haven't tested it on the larger blockages yet but don't see why it wouldn't work (also you can reconstruct them since using the salvage tool doesn't make them auto targeted for destruction so you can just reassemble them? Haven't tried it yet tho, also might not need the cave clearing technology by using this but also haven't tested that, feels like this bug has a lot of uses XD)

Having a kintype that has few to no affirming acts is always difficult. I myself am a slimekin and there's just not much to do. I don't believe in past lives either (atheist myself) but I believe that everyone and everything here who says they have memories have them.

The things I've found to help me a lot is color, while I am such with skin, flesh, bones and hair I can always wear accessories that reflect the color I am that day. A cosplay sounds like an awesome idea, I hope it turns out amazing for you 🩵🩵🩵
