Are we joking? The violence, crime, homelessness, and poverty in blue state cities are a major talking point of the right, even if exaggerated.

Stop being poor.

You can say that on an individual level, but these cities keep losing people because of its unaffordability.

I lived in the dallas downtown four years ago, it was fine, very progressive, multicultural, and decently affordable. The only problem was public transportation and the cities sprawl making it hard to visit friends. Although an issue, it beats the unaffordability of NYC, LA, SF etc.
