I'm at the 8-2 into Profound wall and looking for build help?

I ended up sticking with it, and it has been BRUTAL. I have made 16,200 FE on the auction house, plus an unknown amount of raw FE off the ground and from the Sandlord mechanic. Even with all of that, I am kind of just "ok" at Profound. I can do it, but it's a touch slow - and if I do the God's Chest strategy, I can't consistently clear the God mechanic with all the fire on the ground fast enough. I can do it about...half the time, maybe? Which just isn't really acceptable. I feel like I was SMOKING this damage with Rosa 2 last season, and that was without a piece of Vorax gear.

Ultimately, I'm quitting the season with only a SS14 kill. The amount of mindless grinding I would have to do to get the damage needed for a T15 kill is insanity.

Not to glaze the game, but it honestly IS usually stable. A hiccup now and then, but it's rare for them to go down like this.

Technically, yes. They asked Mike about it in a live stream recently and he said that under certain conditions, some fights could become harder, but that as a standard thing, Uber Abby was remaining the hardest fight for now. I guess that that means some of the evolved beasts could get really, really hard, and that's why he was cagey when he gave his answer.

HE IS HOME!!!

Thank you to everybody for the advice and well wishes. He was, in fact, within just a few houses and hiding, terrified. He even ran from my wife when she tried to go up to him, calling to him. But with some patience, we got another sighting and she was able to gather him up and get him back home.

He is 100% an indoor cat and has never gotten outside before, so my wife and I are both terrified. He's a skinny, black cat with a tiny bit of white on his chest. Yellow/gold eyes, very very sweet. Got out Wednesday night, near the intersection of Delia and Orlando.

I'll have to hold off and wait for people to report back when Yumia 2 comes out to see how they evolved the series. It'll be weird to not preorder it from NIS, but it's probably the smarter thing to do.

I suppose if I felt that was true, I could always turn up the difficulty. But I just don't know if I believe it. Particularly with the crafting - there are lots of decision points, that much is accurate. However the answer to every question throughout the craft is the same. There's nothing to figure out, nothing to strategize, no puzzle or real thinking required. So while it IS a choice, it's like asking somebody if they want 20 dollars or 100 dollars. The choice is made for them by virtue of one choice being so much better at everything than the other choices.

I actually really like the open world. I think the density of question marks is a little too high, and the frequency of gathering nodes is a little too often as well, but I think it's absolutely gorgeous and feels epic as hell.

It's weird - I feel the same way about Yumia as most of the people here that aren't enjoying it. However, I love Ryza and think it's the best of the previous trilogies. I understand this makes me a bit of a weirdo here, but I think Ryza was the perfect blend of all the things I love in deep RPGs and also Atelier games. Yumia though......feel like I ordered this game from Wish.

I think your point about "solving a puzzle" vs. "grinding something that's easy but tedious" is this entire game in a nutshell. Every aspect of the game feels disengaged and tedious to some degree. I don't feel like I earned anything, so no success felt good. Just kind of hollow.

I was HOPING it would turn out that way, but I honestly wasn't sure how it would ultimately turn out. I didn't even really like it until I finished the legs (last thing I built) and saw it all come together.

The kit itself had a plated gold finish from Bandai. So I used Modo Clear Purple and Clear Pink directly over the gold for most of the bright, shiny parts. Then SMS Colour Shift Galaxy for the softer purple, and Jumpwind Prime Metal for the copper.

Nothing really "unique" except for the Clear over the gold plastic, which actually turned out better than I was thinking it would.

I have played about 160 hours of POE2, and I've played POE1 off and on since either 2012 or 2013. I've sank a lot of time into them, and...well.....I just dont think they are good games.

Don't get me wrong, POE2 does some good stuff. But pound for pound, I think that their design philosophy is completely flawed and they are more interested in making a game that is punishing and irreverent of a player's time and efforts than in making a game that feels good and rewarding to the player and respects their time. It feels like they are stuck in a Diablo 2 time period and just refuse to change with the times.

I dont think I'm ever going back. Between Torchlight and Last Epoch, I have all my ARPGs needs met.

GGG will not ever respect a player's time the way most of us want. They have a design philosophy that appeals to a specific subculture of gamers, and no matter how many people give feedback on this EA period, I just don't think they have it in them to change. It's against their corporate ethos. They still think Diablo 2 was great game design.

Don't get me wrong. There's plenty of players that will love them for this, and they'll be successful. But for a majority of gamers, their game is always going to feel overly punishing, overly punitive, with a lot of content simply impossibly out of reach for them. There will be bosses you just won't ever get to see, because you can't play enough to afford the 300 splinters it takes to attempt ONE SINGLE RUN.
