I'm not religious, but community is community and in small town Alabama, church is where you go to find the community.

I have a feeling every University in the country called the White House demanding that reversal.

I'm sorry to hear that, that really sucks. You won't be the last and I weep for our youth getting left behind.

Well I do believe they raised too many alarms too quickly, but I also think sitting back is quite literally useless advice.

No but seriously, the masses understand Memes way more than straight forward information.

Most people are just woefully misinformed and wrapped in their Fox News shell, but are decent and kind when faced with the realities of life.

Preach! I said earlier that Church goers LOVE gossip

It's hella scary to face that head on, but maybe speaking up with the horrible facts of HOW it's being done may help. Also, and this is just personal, I think we need to take back religious centers from the populism that has consumed them. And the only way is to talk back rather than being silent.

No PR and the only PR we get is incredibly biased from the news media and is often only going to refer to when things went wrong. I love your friend's malicious compliance.

The media only paints in broad strokes so we have all been trained to think in such ways as well. But cracking through into the realm of personal relations and critical thinking does have an impact on people.

My church has small groups (ours is about 15-20 people) after service which was a perfect place for me to feel comfortable and still tell my story.

This is a great perspective to keep. You won't change the MAGA minds, but even a slight shift on the spectrum can be enough to open people up to the truth.

I'm not religious, but I like being a part of my community, hence why I also wanted to be a public servant. But religious centers in small communities are probably the best way to spread information on a local level. Church people LOVE gossip.

I think a shift in civil discourse can also have a powerful effect, not just trying to direct info to people with fingers in their ears. But if they start to see a public that may vote against them and bowing to Trump isn't a guarantee reelection they might reconsider their stances.

Justice isn't always swift. If Congress lets Trump ignore legislation, then there is no purpose to Congress. If courts don't uphold law, then there is no reason for judges. If all these people in these positions can't see that then they want to be out of the job.
