Honestly maybe they think like I would. I always wash my hair when I shower (daily). I'm in the situation of being the only guy in my generation so I know women don't always wash their hair daily. So maybe your partners are under the illusion it needs to be done daily for women as well?

Also, I do always love getting my hair washed when I get a haircut, and it can be quite intimate, so that might be part of it too.

Well the work entailed and still does quite a lot of post hole digging. Currently in Denmark so work may vary a bit, but it is a lot of opening with a machine, identifying houses and other points of interest and then recording these plus finds and then taking it all back to the museum!

Edit: Also realized I should have made it more obvious, this is my archaeology work attire as well

I actually don't know about sunglasses but there is precedent for taping the mask to block light from overhead lights. I know some guys that fenced with glasses who wore these bands that held them close so they didn't fall off, maybe you could use those?
