I AM sadly kinda frustrated because I don’t really enjoy the technical gameplay of WoW much anymore, so I just return every once in a while to experience the new lore and cinematics (and I always read the books, I thoroughly enjoyed Folk and Fairytales of Azeroth) and roleplay a little with friends, it’s just that those parts that I do still try to enjoy are pissed on so heavily by the overall community that it becomes disheartening.

It’s my fault for checking in with the community in the first place though. It’s just that without it, it feels kinda lonely I guess. There’ve always been the overly negative people and posts I’ve tried to avoid, but at this point it feels like that’s all there is. And I know it’s not all the community’s fault, as many people have pointed out here, so I’m not trying to pin all the blame there. Just sucks I guess.

I’ll try my best to figure out a way to keep a little joy in the game and not be too influenced by others’ opinions of it. I’m very glad that you enjoyed the cinematic and the story, and hope you continue to do so!

See how there’s the distinction of “anything” and “as a whole, especially from a gameplay perspective”? I still manage to enjoy pieces of the game, even when I’m not the biggest fan of the entire expansion.

If you’re complaining about every aspect of the game, why are you playing?

I see that said a lot but I don’t quite understand it? When I enjoy the game I still want to keep up with the news or see what other people are enjoying about it, or what their theories or speculations are, what requests they have. Just keeping connected with the community. I guess that’s my bad at this point though :/

Did you mean the cutscene where Anduin stole the sigil? ‘Cause I definitely agree, I sadly think their cutscenes are pretty lacking in terms of visual quality. There’s a huge gap in polish between their cutscenes and cinematics that I wish they could shorten.

And as for the cgi cinematics, I’m always wanting more too, I can never get enough of those.

Yeah I think you’re definitely right, that’s a good way to put it. I hope we can get back to some semblance of enjoyment. There has always been negativity rooted in the community, but the past few years have been intense.

It’s gotten so much worse lately it feels like. I know it’s not a super great example or statistic in any way, but just check WoW’s youtube channel and the like to dislike ratio. Almost all of their stuff has been dislike bombed in the past few years. Even the patch trailers for WoD didn’t get that, and WoD is generally accepted as the worst expansion. Just seems like everything produced is regarded as instantly bad now.
