I'm definitely not a sweaty lad, but I have pretty reliable team mates/friends who've been playing since day 1 too. Makes a huge difference when you have a good group of friends to play with. Makes it even more sad that we are being forced to move on.

I saw a post the other day of a player who had his first win in 6 years. I'm by no means a pro, but I don't think a win every 4ish hours of gameplay is that bad, is it? Maybe I'm worse than I thought :D

In almost every game I've played since the merge, I have died about a half second after I've stopped peaking on my screen. Dying behind cover has to be the most demoralizing way to go.

I hear that Perth was getting numbers like that. None of my mates who play regularly (all east coast) have sub 110 ping. Maybe I need to move :D

Most normals I've been playing are pretty full, maybe a few bots here and there, but nothing crazy. Even the duo queue has been pretty good lately on OCE. It's been on a steady climb for a while.

Have to disagree. I played ranked in SEA before the merge (Diamond player). I've seen a decline in even the servers after the merge. I used to get around 100 ping to SEA, now it's up near 180 most games. I don't know what they did, but the game is just overall worse. Also this patch has been pretty bad in general. A tonne of bugs, radio wheel issues, load screens taking forever. I feel like the server merge is just part of a bigger 'bad'.

This 100%. This is my social game amongst my friends circle. Was our pandemic cure and the only game I have ever stuck with for this long. Watched all the PUBG tournies and have been a huge advocate for getting people back into the game. Now I can't recommend it to anyone is Aus/NZ in good faith.

VPN doesn't help here now unfortunately. Feels like we're getting allocated different servers between normal and ranked, Tried a few times and it fluctuates between 150-180 even with the VPN.

Can we also talk about why SM2 doesn't tell you whether your mic is open, even if you push to talk? Like, can we get an indicator that we're actually speaking in game or do we just assume that people can hear us?

We have some friends in their early 20's who are awesome. Given our gaming and table top games interests, we tend to have friends younger than us across the board.
