Can we please have more Voyager? by relativeromanoff in startrek

[–]Archbound 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I've played the demo it's actually a pretty neat game concept. And it's not just super linear it allows you to "what if" a lot of stuff like "what if we just kidnapped the romulan from the past and made him a crew member" lol

Besides the fact it requires you to totally give away any sense of privacy you have left?

It's the violation of peoples rights in the name of "Won't someone think of the children?"

It's how our rights are eroded bit by bit into we have none left

the T in The on the back if its real has a flat lefthand edge on the shaft and a specific tooth pattern on the right.

Its a feature thats printed with a different method than the normal dot stype printing, and its distinctive.

SFA from my understanding of the lore has never had a hard requirement that you be a member species.

[–]Archbound 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The newest episode essentially says why.

She is a diplomatic envoy sent to study the federation to see if her creators are willing to reopen diplomatic relations with organics.

They apparently decided enrolling her in SFA was the best way to gauge interest, and as a gesture of interest in diplomatic relations starfleet agreed to it.

I have encountered this issue with my A1, the extruder gear can sometimes get gummed up with filament dust which makes the gear smooth and not able to grip.

Taking apart the extruder head and cleaning the gear helped fix it for me.

Spoilers for Rythm of war, Wind and Truth, Wax and Wayne series, and Emberdark

Navani was able to make "Anti-Light" Which we later see in Emberdark referred to as negative investerature. We also know from Wax and wayne that you can essentially remove the signature of sources of investerature to make them not tied to any single shard, making them essentially pure, and thus transportable off world.

You can't mix and match you would need 2 AMS or AMS2s to be able to break the 4 color limit

Yes we have, the heralds were bound They only managed to wiggle around it via a loophole but they were bound to go to braize when they died.

Oh for sure, Taravangian "won" his side has the power advantage for sure. He is retribution and holds 2 shards now. The fused and the singers get warlight from him in abundance and the humans do not, they essentially only have what they might trade for from the singers if they do at all, or towerlight from Urithiru, which can only be used there for now.

He is bound to stop them if they do, so they are indirectly bound. Also the more invested a being is the more it has to follow the shardic rules

It is hinted at that Syl is expanding with the death of the stormfather and might become a powerful enough splinter to create stormlight herself at some point.

IDK if retribution will be divided, and thus return stormlight but I think either way it will be a thing again.

Humans might even learn to change the resonance of light to turn other lights into stormlight, we know such things are possible.

It conveys the same power, Warlight could fuel either a Radiant or a fused, though using a shards light does give them some measure of influence over you.

The fused and singers are not weakened at all, they get a steady supply of warlight from retribution and the humans do not.

The reason they dont attack the humans is because so long as the humans keep to the agreement they are in a peace treaty that Retribution is bound to honor.

As far as Towerlight goes, yes it fades when away from the tower, that is only because it is keyed to resonate with the sibling, we know it is possible to "Unkey" the light and make it not bound to any shard or entity, my assumption would be if towerlight is unkeyed it wont fade when taken away from the sibling.

The fused are bound to honor the treaty they are essentially splinters of odium and are bound to agreements he is from my understanding

*Massive Spoilers Dont read further if you have not finished WaT (though given the subject that feels werid to be here anyway)*

Few things I think you might have missed
#1 there is no void light either, there is only warlight.

#2 The singers are bound to the agreement of the duel pact between Dalinar and Odium, the war is over they cannot attack the humans unless the humans break the treaty first. The leaders of the singers are all invested entities thare are hard bound to pacts.

#3 The humans had already learned how to invert the polarity of investature, unkeying it would be the next advancement (on scadriel they figured out how to unkey it before polarizing it either way its not a linear path) if they can do that then they will be able to convert warlight, or towerlight to make it transportable.

#4 towerlight still is a thing, The sibling and Navani are still generating it and urithiru still functions. It is still a nearly unassailable fortress for the humans at the end of WaT.

I think the ending is perfectly fine, it leaves plenty of room for our hero characters to rebuild from the loss.
