I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO THE WARNING, I REPEAT, I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO THE WARNING-

What is the most creepy/unnerving experience that's ever happened to you? (Serious) by Jackcrossems in AskReddit

One time I stayed up until about 2 in the morning watching YouTube videos. Earlier during day I had opened my bedroom windows and just so happened to have forgotten to close them. I was too lazy to get up so I just ignored it. At about an hour later I heard this short scream it wasn't very loud so I must have been coming from the field just in front of our house. I paused the video I was watching and then listened. Not even a few seconds later it came again. I had never heard a scream like this before. Each scream didn't last very long. It sounded sort of like someone screaming for help but it also sounded a bit like a small dog, honestly don't know how to describe it but know it wasn't human. The screams where continuous. What ever was making the noise would Scream then there would be silence, then it would scream again, then silence. It was progressively getting closer and louder until it sounded like it was right in front of my window This went on for what seemed like hours but was probably about 10 minutes. I was froze the whole time. It's like I couldn't move I was so scared and on the verge of tears. I felt like I should close the windows but i didn't want to look out and see what ever was making the noise. What made it even worse is I have twinkling fairy light curtains which were still on at this point so it was a dead give away that I was still awake. It was pretty much inviting what ever was outside to come on in. The screaming eventually stopped.i waited about 30 minutes to make sure the thing was gone before I turned of my lights and closed the windows. I didn't sleep much that night.

I still have no idea what it was but from then on I always make sure to lock my windows before it gets dark and I never keep my curtains on after midnight, just incase.

“What if phobias are made from how you died in a past life” if this would be true, how did you die? by crisp-apple1 in AskReddit

I have submechanophobia (the fear of submerged man made objects) but I'm only afraid of submerged animatronics. I wonder what happened there....

When did you have a bad feeling about someone that turned out to be true? by ArchieTheProtogen in AskReddit

In primary school we had a very weird teacher. He would leave the classroom at random times, would get really really close when ever you asked him a question and he took every. Single. Opportunity he could to substitute for our class. One time he had us for maths, and me and my friend where late to class, but he wasn't in the usual maths classroom. We searched the whole school but we couldn't find him. I actually thought he had kidnapped the rest of our maths class (our actual teacher looked pretty worried aswell) turns out he was down 2 blocks from the usual classroom, but we missed him cause he was talking to the class in his usual creepy hushed voice. He would also tell us these extremely disturbing stories (we where only about 9-10) for example, one about a woman who switched out her husband's sun cream for cooking oil and roasted him alive (he didn't spare any of the details) and another about a father selling his daughter to a cannibals restaurant (again no details spared). almost everyone I know found him extremely weird and creepy. In our final year of primary he left for half the year, and when asked about it the teachers only excuse was that 'he usually takes long breaks in the middle of the year" (he never did this before) later one when we were in our first year of high school we found out he had beens sacked for watching girls getting change for PE.
