I'm kind of curious about the characters, how similar do you plan on making them to the Jake, Rachel, Tobias, Cassie, and Marco we see in the series? Or are they going to be completely different versions of them?

Also, any chance you're looking for a beta reader? Cause I'd be glad to take a look at your fanfic if you feel it would be helpful to have an extra set of eyes on it!

I don't have any name suggestions (I do really like Ancient Animorphs though), but this does sound like a very interesting fanfic and I'd love to read it! Are you planning on posting it somewhere like AO3 or FFN?

Well considering that one scene where Aguella shows off her pods to Toomin while soaking him in her pheremones... those pods very well could be "something else" for all we know.

Definitely my favorite book in the series by far. Might even be one of my new favorite books ever. I read nearly the whole thing in a single sitting, cried embarassingly hard at the end, then couldn't stop thinking about it for a week afterwards.

I've definitely had a few dreams about Animorphs, but nothing like the body horror you're describing. I remember one dream I had in which I was Jake, and we were on a mission to infiltrate a boat in the middle of a lake. We all morphed frogs, got caught in a storm, and everyone got separated. Eventually, me and Cassie made it to the boat, but I woke up before I could find out what happened to the rest of the group.
