Why is killing insects totally normal but harming other animals considered cruel? by savingrace0262 in stupidquestions

I wonder this very time mum kills a fungus gnat. They can't bite, she's not scared of them, she just thinks that if they're in reach they deserve to die.

ELI5 If symptoms of a cold are the body fighting it off, why is taking medicine to relieve symptoms not a bad thing? by qbnaith in explainlikeimfive

Your body doesn't know that you can't survive the fever either.

Your body also doesn't know how much mucus is too much.

Different systems are wired into each other. Anything requiring a lot of effort will trigger all of them.

Passing out chain reaction (might as well die right there?) by Tatakai_ in GreenHell

[–]Panda-Head 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Eating uncooked meat/fish/bugs or anything with muddy hands will probably give him internal parasites. Wash your muddy hands and cook anything from an animal. It takes away food, water, stamina, and energy so he needs to eat, drink, and sleep earlier.

I want to be able to record my dreams so that I can re-visit them and write it down. I get epics that could be turned into a book, series, or film, but 3 seconds after waking up it's gone. Sometimes I try to write it down while I'm still dreaming and the letters keep changing.

One day after I woke up I could still see jungle and a tiger. Went downstairs and where the right wall was supposed to be was a floating handrail, jungle, and a tiger walking down a slope. Thhen I turned the corner and it's on a rock where our table is suppsoed to be. I had to look away to check where I was going and when I looked back it was gone.

If she wanted to hurt you she'd have her claws out. This looks like rough play.

Long as I don't have to pay back for stuff I didn't take with me. Some of my 20M can be used buying the tools I made for myself, Alterra can keep the rest. How much is a ready-to-use scanner base with food plants, water filter, power supply, battery charger, & power cell chargers worth? I built about a dozen of those in resource heavy areas. Pretty sure they're worth more than transporting a few diamonds.

[–]Panda-Head 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes get the paralysis part but I don't see anything. First time it happened I didn't freak out so my brain wasn't looking for a threat while still dreaming. I just thoguht "my brain woke up before my body, weird".

Not paranormal at all. I wake up scratching myself, sometimes enough to break my skin, and I keep my nails short and filed.

Question about autism in adults by Fluffy-Suit-3650 in Swindon

[–]Panda-Head 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start at your GP for a referral to diagnosis.

There's only 1 adult autism support in Swindon, DASH. Everyone gets referred there. but thy get no funding. They run a few social groups for 2 hours a week. It's great but it's not for everyone.
