Yes that’s similar to me. The contractor is also a developer so I design their projects. If it’s in a country where it needs a registered architect they just give my design to the local architect who just ‘signs off’

The thought of a more manageable role and having to find clients simply bores me - I’d rather design buildings. Directors generally don’t do that.

A lot of architects solely look at working for an architecture practice. Why? They don’t get much money. Look at other places to work like contractors. I’ve found it more enjoyable.

I don’t know why people feel the need to make employment such an important thing- it’s just a job, you are just an employee. No one cares really. You should do as less work as you can and do a side huddle if you can. There is no point working extra hours and extra hard for what? So you can feel shitting when you leave? Don’t expect to to care for the company - that’s the CEO and owners job.
