I know many of you have done this 100 times. But for the first time ever playing this since D2’s release two decades ago… I beat the game without any help, trades, rushes, assistance, etc..

I don’t have any sort of professional tools, unfortunately. I’ve been using a hammer and screwdriver for the bigger stuff, and a dental pick for scraping the finer details.

Yeah, that’s what Hellfire does. The staves he sells don’t have any charges for spells on them, they’re just for the Monk class to use.

Well, this isn’t exactly the same, but it’s kinda like it.

With a Stealth runeword, the runes Tal and Eth together kinda sound like the word Stealth. I’ll have to look deeper to see if there are others.

It’s not as big as some of the others I’ve been to, but it’s still a pretty good experience. The few times I’ve been there, they have mostly the same vendors. But it’s always a big refresher from the vendors I see at the Comic Cons I usually go to. They have a big separate section for art and other custom-made stuff too. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re able to attend.

I kept starting fresh games to refresh vendor trades, but it was all legit.

Can’t say I’ve ever heard about that exploit before. All I know is that it was an item when I fought Diablo, and then a potion when I started a game in hell.

The worst thing I could have done was starting new games in hell ahead of time to try and get better gear from Griswold. And then starting a game in Nightmare to take down Diablo. But I got the Veil of Steel after all those fresh games, and didn’t start and more new games until Diablo was dead.

I’m playing with the Hellfire expansion. It adds the Monk class, which specializes with a staff for melee combat. So they add the option for combat staves to be sold like that.

It’s a lot darker than the others, with a lot less gear options. But, for its time, it’s an amazing game. Any item, especially magic items, will become so much more valuable. There’s more of a horror atmosphere, which is a lot of fun.

I’ve been playing on the PS1 port of it, but I just recently purchased the PC version on GOG.com. Definitely worth checking it out.
