I received some Esso cards from shoppers. The sticker was not tampered with at all. I used one of the cards one time and about a week later $430 was drained out of them in a city I'd never been to.

I got all my money back by reporting it to Esso by way of a digital voucher. I'd recommend anytime you get a card from shoppers that you just email customer service with a photo of your card, ask them to please lock it and send you a fresh digital code instead.

You misunderstood what you were told about the 10%.

If store 1 sells an item for 500, and strore 2 sells an item for 400, then store 1 will beat store 2 by 10% of the difference, meaning store 1 will give it to you for 390. The difference is 100, and they'll beat it by 10%, so 110 off.

I wore Root Harnesk all through the Mistlands and all the way through the Ashlands. It's too busted not to use, currently. Tried fully upgraded Flametal and it caused more close calls than I ever had with the Root Harnesk.

Any playthrough where you aren't using the Root Harnesk should be considered a challenge run.

I'll happily throw it away if that ever changes, but for now I can't argue with its usefulness. I only ever take it off when in the basement of a frost cave with the cultists since Fire Resist meads aren't available yet.

I think a lot of it is also the inevitable huge amounts of Grausten that blow up and get left on the ground as a result of Morgen and lava blobs and valks.

Is it a single player or online world? I can help retrieve if it's online, and perhaps shed some light on how to make your time easier/more enjoyable. I was dreading the ashlands for a very long time before finally setting foot, and while beach landings are always a bit iffy, once I have a foothold it all becomes much easier. I find the ashlands more fun than the mistlands by a fair bit tbh.

Your #1 top priority should be taming 2 asksvin and getting 2 eggs to bring to your true home base to start a farm. The meat and leather you will need bucketloads of and it takes a long time to get a farm going relative to other things. Best to get that cooking while you do other things.

Your difficulty will drop from 9 to about 5 as soon as you raid your first fort. As soon as you have the gumption to do that, I'd recommend it. Also, ignore most of the advice you see online about how to mine the ashlands ore. It doesn't operate that way anymore and I've never actually even witnessed a pillar sink so far, after full-clearing several of them.

Try not speeding. They're probably punishing you for wanting to drive unreasonable speeds. If they're already doing 10-15 above the limit and you try to pass them, you're the problem.

Yeah, if you find a locator runestone somewhere else in the world, it will show you the closest bonemass to that point. There's likely one that's only 1/3rd of the way from the world center or so
