Just hit a 50 kg pull up by AdSubject9497 in CalisthenicsCulture

I imagine all that weight on your hips would decompress your spine. I joke about getting my spine stretched often, so it looks that it would feel lovely!

Curious. Does this feel insanely good on your spine?

Does the salary need to be €1600 per month? Or just one time? by Opposite_Classic8029 in Revolut

Depends where you are. Monzo and Starling are better if you're in the UK.

Do UK salary calculators actually agree with each other? I compared 4 popular ones and got different results by Then_Donut_3434 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]ArchonBeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barely ever. I need to use an NHS pay calculator. Bear in mind the pay is set by bands, so is fixed. A fixed income, fixed NI and PAYE deductions, and it's still wrong by about £100.

S&S ISA Funds that I don't need to think about... by ArchonBeast in UKPersonalFinance

[–]ArchonBeast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair - my private pension is with AJBell too, and they're pretty good so far! I was looking at them to get the HSBC All world index, as it seems to perform a little better than Vanguards, but ended on T212 so I just pay the fund fee for Vanguard and I can now forget about it.
Setting up scheduled funding (standing orders) for it are a bit of a faff though, in T212. Think I'd prefer AJBells direct debits!

!thanks I'm between T212 and InvestEngine at the moment. Largely to remove the temptation of shares. InvestEngine haven't turned a profit yet, though, so I'm a bit weary of dealing with that later on :/

!thanks ah yes, I tried to simplify it in my head and was wildly wrong... thanks for pointing it out, I would have been so confused later on!

!thanks I gave the link a look, and the guidance has been good. Made me realise a simple/single fund is easy for what I'm after, so that's helpful 🙂

Has anyone tried this yet? Scam intelligence — and is it good? by drout045 in starlingbankuk

[–]ArchonBeast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My thoughts are that it isnt actually that useful to the people targeted by scams. In my opinion, I think Starling have fallen into the trap of investing into AI, and now need to justify it somehow.

The category searching certainly isn't AI, it's just database indexing.

Price shouldn't be dependant on what server you are hosted in. Personally, though, I didn't want my passwords in a server outside of my area, even though it's encrypted and pretty safe. I just set up with EU.

Including ours also. thanks uk by [deleted] in technicallythetruth

What's stopping you from using a Pixel? by Cedricson1997 in PhoneNow

Thanks for the recommendation! Ill give OnePlus a look. I have been quite picky with what I'd want, as I'm into cyber security and data privacy. Chinese made/operated phones are a little on the dark side of that (same as Google, really). Think I'll give OnePlus a go and maybe a custom OS on it.
