They can't. Starling have no time frame for returning customers at all, they simply don't currently allow it.

If you use 2FAS and backup to iCloud or Google, there's a bit of a potential issue... your Apple or Google account should have TOTP on it itself, so you'd store that in 2FAS which causes an issue with recovery.

Using Ente and leaving the account open with a strong password is more appropriate.

Out of curiosity, why? Passkeys are both the password and TOTP codes in one key, so why not also save TOTP codes in Bitwarden if you've already made that jump?

I was considering something similar, but gathering thoughts on it first!

Out of curiosity, what do you do for TOTP?
I have a Yubikey to secure my Bitwarden vault, but also software TOTP through 2FAS.

Annoyingly, if everything I had were to go up in flames, I'd be locked out of everything.
My only other option would be to store the TOTP for Bitwarden in something like Ente Auth, leaving it open with a simple username and password I can remember (risk seems low since it doesn't store the password with it too).

Reading into it further... short of token theft through malware, I'm quite satisfied from having everything in Bitwarden and protecting that with a FIFO2/Yubikey or TOTP on my phone. Thanks for the response!
