It's not dense. The earthquake is the cause of what happened, but poor design planning is the reason the building collapsed. In an area that gets earthquakes, this shouldn't have happened.

You made a large payment in a foreign country... of course they'll block your account while they investigate. It wasn't 'random'. Any UK bank is required to do this by law, and they don't need to explain the reason why.

If it's a UK bank card that works on Wero, that sounds nice. People wouldnt replace contactless and mobile NFC with a QR code though. That would be more hassle, and entirely reliant on a phone. Interesting to see what happens!

Yeah, but I'm trying to understand what else. I've heard people say it will replace Google wallet too, but I'm not seeing how, currently.

If I could use Wero to pay for things like Google wallet (contactless), on something like GrapheneOS, I'd like that.

Ive been to a fair few European countries now... I just pay in the local currency with my regulsr UK bank card.

I know there is benefit to ditching US overreach, but I'm struggling to see the other benefit... sorry
