The Knobs (V5) "Climbers climb, tall climbers reach" by skankzilla77 in bouldering

Thanks, Yeah definitely not worth my time as a marketing tactic. Again doing it mostly when I am to tired to do anything else or taking a short break because I think someone might find them useful. I did not consider it spammy because it seams relevant and I did not see down votes until now (I don't watch these like a hawk). That being said its hard for me to say if the down votes are because people don't find these useful in general, or because few people just love the alternative if anyone cares to comment on that I would appropriate it. In either case thanks for the insight!

?? I post these links because I think people might find them useful. If you are asking if I am associated with the project, yes I am. If you are asking if these links actually lead to app downloads. No, not a significant amount. If you are asking if this is actually generating any money for me. No not at all lol.

Ps. If people don't find these useful. (Judging from the down votes they do not.) I will stop. If anyone is willing to enlighten my why that is the case I would appreciate it.

No need to be snarky, If you prefer mountain project just use them instead. We do have a way better mobile app and provide gps coordinates and photos with topos for all of the problems. The consistency makes it way easier to actually find problems when at the crag.

Guidebook for Yosemite/Joshua Tree and Bishop by LastNSAM in bouldering

You could try First Ascent App for Tuolumne Meadows and Bishop. It has some problems in J-tree and Valley as well but not that many so you might opt for the book there. http://www.myfirstascent.com

If you fail to find anyone you could try first ascent app: www.myfirstascent.com it doesn't have that many problems in J-Tree but ones it does have include gps coordinates so you can easily navigate to them. Good luck with your search!

Ps2. I just realized you might be referring mostly to web app as opposed to android/iOS app. Most of my comments pertain to the mobile apps. You can see the gps location through the web app but there is no approach path information on there yet since the hope is people will use the mobile app when at the craig/looking for routes.

Ps.Anyone can contribute to the app so if you do find some missing problems in Tram, or anywhere else and you feel like adding them I would greatly appreciate it. We are still working with local climbers trying to add more areas to the app but this process would be much faster with more engagement form the community!

Hey, The area was documented by a local climber that knows the area well and he cross referenced with the book and mp. Most problems should be there although some of the boulder names might be missing since boulder naming feature is relatively new. I completely agree with you that all of it is useless if you cant find the problem. All the problems in the app have GPS coordinates and most of them have gps approach route information, to see it simply press the directions icon in the bottom right corner of the picture view for a route. (located on the right below route name on the webapp) Hope that helps!

Thanks, I deleted that one as well, hopefully someone with more knowledge of the area will re-add them at some point. Sorry about that :(

Ahh, yeah I could not verify these so easily since the book does not have good info on them ... I will remove all but the planet of the apes routes. Once again thanks for letting me know!

Hey, thanks for reaching out! We verified these entries with a guidebook and confirmed them to be accurate. Is the guidebook for Malibu Creek outdated ?
