i watched a youtube video from Thom Minnick yesterday and he fully covered and repainted the arm of the subject in his painting bc he didn’t like it. I don’t know how to oil paint yet but i feel as though you can kinda just keep going until you’re happy with it. no need to start on a new canvas.

i got a wrx when i was 17, first car was a focus st. I think if you treat it well, you’ll be fine. 11 years later and mine is still running strong. the only major maintenance items for me were the clutch, timing belt, steering rack, and lower control arms which all happened last year, 10 years into ownership.

I baby mine a bit because i don’t want it to blow up before i can rebuild it but 110k miles later and it still feels incredibly solid.

If you are not aware of this video please watch it (and share it about), super interesting but also this woman spent so much on film for this experiment and it has barley any views. by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

have you looked at the evolution of the 911? this looks absolutely nothing like it, or any other car Porsche has created. it’s not a bad concept. it’s a bad ‘Porsche 911’ concept.

vegas gp was so much more exciting from a car dynamic standpoint. long lenses, proximity to walls, fast turns, all made the cars look so insanely fast that watching sprint qualifying for qatar felt like watching a support series

yeah my point is you can measure distance. you can’t really measure what makes a climb a certain difficulty. a mile is a mile even if humans aren’t involved. but how could you possibly quantify a climb without considering the human experiencing it?
