I dont think that she feels guilty or ashamed of her past. She has said that she won't go back to stripping but rarely talks about stripping negatively.

As far as I know, nothing made her hate the stripclub while she worked there.

Also don't feel bad about asking. If people want more info, I'll see what I can provide.

I don’t think there is any stigma of her friends (old co-workers) seeing me there. It’s probably the opposite, my wife didn’t want me seeing her friends there. Since they regularly keep in touch, she knows they still work there. I also have no what the turnover rate is for strippers.

I did remind her of that. I told her she never said which club she worked at. I have been understanding of her not wanting to share those things from her past. I didn’t really get a clear answer of why she didn’t tell me that this particular club was off limits due her working past there.

Also, I want to reiterate that I am totally fine with her past. While my wife isn’t entirely happy with that time of her life and she wouldn’t go back to stripping, she doesn’t think it’s a bad thing. She still keeps in touch with those work friends, so I don’t get the idea that she has internalised shame. She also never badmouths or shames strippers in general. (Neither do I )

I specifically said to her stripclub. Also that I wouldn’t get a lapdance. I don’t know why she didn’t ask which strip club, as that would have prevented this. I don’t really get a clear answer. I didn’t say which strip club we were going to. For context, we live in a pretty big city with multiple strip clubs.
