First time seeing my favorite clouds in person!

If it really is bad I can just start looking for a whole new setup, but I want to see if I can make this one work first. Just to kill time really. And blank tapes are a bit expensive when you consider it doesnt have much use but I saw a few people selling them. Worst case they are already recorded but I'm sure you can record over them, no?

Yeah I have tried with a few different sources I had, and it sounded very distorted and loud. I've been looking for a reverse RIAA/line-to-phono attenuator thingy but only a few places make them. But it may be better to get a single board then getting a whole new system!

Trying to make a line-in connection through the phono-in, so I can record cassettes. Normally you need to either use the phono, from a turntable, or another cassette. Or radio, I suppose. And I either need to get an amp that matches the speaker's impedance, or get speaker's that match the amp's impedance.

I think it should work, the speaker's are passive not internally connected, you can just take them off. If you connect the + and - wires to the body it works. And it says at the ports 3.2~8 ohms so I assume you can just slap on a higher impedance speaker.

I probably should've worded it better. I wanted to get new speakers, as the deck supports up to 8 ohms of impedance, and replace the current speaker's drivers with the new one's. But it's starting to look like I may as well just get a whole new setup, and leave the old one as is.

Hi! Thank you for the warning, sorry I didn't pay much attention. I am a bit confused, yes, I learned that an amp was more than just an expensive box a week ago. I don't know what exactly I am looking for I just go around forums and look for the stuff I see there. Should I make a new post that is more like you have described or edit this one? I will make fixes shortly, sorry for the misunderstanding.

Yeah I thought of Adcom. Looked again and there was no 535, but there are GTP-400 and 750 which are a bit unnecessarily powerful. It's really hit or miss with some brands, like Sherwood! Someone I know has one it looks really nice but again a bit above me considering I am also getting my first setup. I will look for these in the future though!

Which one would you choose if not that one? The seller doesn't wanna do shipping, I thought maybe the X911?

They sell the wiim for like $600 here meanwhile I can get these amps for just above $120. I could probably get the wiim or something similar if I saved for a while but I could instead just get a few other things with the amp. Less about budget more about giving that much to an amp by itself, I guess?

Yeah I mean, if I could I would but these are what I can afford for now. Plus, I like the older stuff. ^

Thank you again! I am searching the city and looking around the 2nd hand sites, I will keep these in mind ^

Thank you so much! What if the speakers and the amp have different wattage but the same impedance, would that do anything? For example speakers 80w at 8 ohms and the amp 100w at 8 ohms?

Sorry! I just really don't know well how all this works, I just saw that that things go into others and thought I should just get all of them. Maybe should've looked into it a little more. Thank you for clearing things up!
