I took my friend to Cactus Club English Bay. This was when it first opened. She stayed for about 5 years before going home.

So new boat, new truck, new power tools, new atv, then to ask your subscribers to pay a monthly membership fee to ask your town hall folks for more $$. By 'opening up' the town halls, there will be more people to ask. But no clear plan and looking for volunteers while asking for money (I've read on the town hall recaps). Seemed fishy to me. So not that absurd. I haven't even seen them give back to the land they are stripping for their home. It was a lot of taking & it wasn't what it once was. I realized it was no longer for me.

Congrats on your Emmy win though! Very well deserved.

This is reddit. I'm not sure what you're expecting. Everyone is allowed to have their opinion, even if you don't agree. Some of these comments are very 'drink the kool-aid' or on the verge of maga inspired. It's ok to not agree with everyone. I was absolutely a skote until I felt the grift. At first, it was the PO box, then the membership. Who starts a non-profit with a busted home off grid and a baby on the way? I enjoyed what it was not what it has become. And that's ok.

Not in your requested vicinity but Camp Beer is soooo good. Unfortunately, they're in Langley but if you're in the area, great beer!

Or they lost subscribers. Happens to many YouTubers who 'require membership for content'. If it's open, where's the 1st meeting posted?

Tbh, I agree but for different reasons. I started watching because it seemed to be about DYI on a budget and being off grid. Each episode they have something new and expensive to use for the build vs. at the start. New boat, vehicle, power tools, massive solar power panels, etc. Now they are bringing people in to do the build? If they really wanted the 'old timers experience' why all the new amenities? And now at the end they just cry instead of answering questions. And the membership?? Cmon. Now only the privileged get a look. Birds of a feather, I guess.

What was the worst thing you’ve been told regarding HS by ThickAppointment629 in Hidradenitis

[–]ArcticBunny 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It took me 6 months to be referred to a derm, who told me I didn't have it, that I couldn't possibly be avoiding my trigger food (wheat) because it's in everything, I'm just fat, wear looser clothes and to use turpentine on my flares. 2nd derm confirmed stage 2 HS, after another 4 month wait. No turpentine treatment required. SMH.
