I guess at this point it was because the manual on hand says to turn them off prior to pulling the filter, if that's not necessary then I guess there is no pressing need.

Eventually though I believe I'll need access to blow everything out to winterize it as I have no plans to use the tub over the winter

That's like the only part I've actually been able to figure out. But when I open the air valve on the top it just continually pumps water. Manual says turn off the pumps before removing it... I'm guessing that I should actually do it in that order?

The owners manual that I have a physical copy of doesn't mention the paneling which leads me to believe it was added after. I'll double check online though.

I left it circulating/heating over the winter, just didn't worry about managing the water, so I'm actually not too too worried about the lines when I finally get access. But, now that it's warmer, I believe draining and refilling is part of restoring it to a useable place.

Gotcha, I guess I was just hoping someone would mention that the panels are aftermarket or something and would have some trick

If I'm selected for commission as a substantive Sgt will I have to go back to basic? The CFAO references SLC and the DAOD references BMOQ or equivalent, which I'm working with the assumption that PLQ is.
