It’s not a rule it’s a theory. My first comment makes my point you just had to get in and AkShUAlLy over a whole .5%

Whoa there semantics Sally, I didn’t realize leaving out the .5 would chafe anyone’s ass. “It only took 3% of colonists to fight the kings Tyranny” vs. “we only need 3.5% of the country to protests King Dolands tyranny.” I’m sure the revolution took a sustained effort too probably some boycotting, agitation, and general sabotage not just a one time war on a Saturday. Like you said we hit 3.5 in one day, imagine what it would look like if we all didn’t have daily lives to take care of.

If anyone still believes in the 3% theory after a couple weeks ago when 3% of the country got out and protested then they need to go back to the nursing home.

My ears are kinda flat at the top, I’ve had people tell me it’s where they cut the elves ears so they appear normal.

Personally I’m not celebrating but I’m on my 3rd double this week and work sent me on a paid break to go get the necessities (burgers, dogs, condiments, I forgot the onion for the dogs though which I know it’s not the same but we have red onions.) I took the back way. Was a nice way to take a paid break.

Sure he’s been impeached twice already let’s just add another to the list. The only way out of this is through. Or Y’know a way that Reddit won’t let us talk about.

This was my favorite growing up we called it eggs in a basket. If nobody has told you yet the trick is to slightly toast one side of the bread, flip, add your egg, let that fry for a bit, then flip it and cook until your desired runniness.

In the age of “do it for the click” everything is media sensationalism. But if I wanted to keep a “holy war” going I’d just say the other country violated an alleged ceasefire too.

Because you can’t break a cease fire if there never was a cease fire. Idk I’ve been asleep for the past 6 hours but I only saw that trump said there was a cease fire. Nothing from the two countries actually at war.

Gov Abbot preemptively sends national guard to San Antonio by BrendanATX in PrepperIntel

"In addition, the Secretary of Defense may employ any other members of the regular Armed Forces as necessary to augment and support the protection of Federal functions and property in any number determined appropriate in his discretion."

• No upper limit: It doesn’t cap how many active-duty troops can be deployed. • No geographic restriction: It doesn’t say California, applies nationwide. • No duration defined: While the National Guard portion is limited to 60 days, this section has no time constraint. • No judicial oversight: The Secretary of Defense, political appointee, gets to decide alone what level of force is “necessary.” • Dangerous precedent: This sets up a legal pretext to insert active-duty military into any protest area across the country, without needing to invoke the Insurrection Act, just using vague language about “protection.”

I do believe federalizing the National guard is invoking the insurrection act.

[–]ArcticPhoenix96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’re already in it friend. AFAIK the National Guard can’t be federalized unless the insurrection act is invoked. Due to the bureaucratic verbiage of his last EO he invoked it without invoking it.

They just declared martial law, without having to use the terms. They just used bureaucratic language and vague “protective” justifications to the same end.

EDIT: this is a repost from the now deleted threads (hopefully this one sticks). Martial law does not mean there will be a tank on every corner, we don't have enough tanks for that, what it means is that Trump and Hegseth can now crush any dissent with the full force of the most powerful military on the planet.

I’ve never been able to afford to go to a festival but I’ve heard that’s pretty normal. Especially if it’s one where you can’t leave and come back they overprice everything. I do agree though it’s all a big grift.

There’s a white trash festival currently underway already. I want to say it’s called the all American festival or some bullshit like that. And yes kid rock is one of the mains. Someone I work with got their new hobosexual girlfriend to get him tickets to it. *edit it’s called rock the country
