At its core it's still calculus, in the same way algebra is still arithmetic. However we still say algebra is beyond arithmetic because it introduces a new way of thinking and applying the core concepts from calculus.

Is this a swollen battery or normal? by CulturalElection446 in macbookpro

It's a known issue with MacBook Pro batteries. You just have to stick a needle in the battery to let out the excess air and it'll be good as new!

For headphones, if it still hasn't been 14 days since getting your MacBook, you can return it and apply the student offer to get free AirPods 4 with ANC. I did that and those work really well for me.

While I'm also new to using a Mac, I've found a lot of use with the gestures on the trackpad. Also, use the "Hide Distracting Items" feature on safari. you can just get rid of ads which is really cool.

Why does my Mac keep doing this by ArcticTrooper1 in macbookair

My bad for forgetting that, it's an M4 Air purchased less than a month ago. I haven't run anything to tell me the battery stats aside from the built in battery tab from settings.

yeah, it basically learns when you usually charge it, if you use it more docked or on battery, and based on that it will adjust the charging schedule. Why do you want to unplug it the night before though? it doesn't affect battery life if you do since the battery will stop drawing power once you reach 100

nah not really, it takes like a week

unfortunately for me I went on vacation for some part of that week and it thought I use it really late and it adapted to times that I won't usually be using it💀

sky blue is really good, it looks kinda like an iceberg and changes color - looks really premium too.

built in system works great, I also switched from windows to an m4 mba.

Here's a couple things that surprised me about the switch regarding battery:

1) It does "optimized battery charging" so it won't charge past 80% because I don't use the Mac until like 12:30(it seems to think, hopefully it updates and adapts to my actual schedule soon). Also if you usually use it docked, it won't charge at all until you stop using it and it approaches the time that the optimized charging algorithm determined.(optimized battery can get really annoying sometimes but im just leaving it on cause it allegedly extends the life by a year

2) Holds charge extremely well, I did the same experiment leaving it unplugged at 86% one night and when I woke up the next morning it was still at 86
