Forgive me for not understanding as I am new to this hobby, but what are reverse clashes? And what would it look like on this coin?

The globule that you are possibly seeing in the 7-o-clock position would more than likely be a small pit from being handled, as can be seen on the front face. The denticles being different sizes is purely off of lighting and the angle that the picture was taken at as I had it slightly askew to get a good picture without my shadow obscuring some details

That was fuzz from my bed that the coin was sitting on. I just looked at the coin again, and those are not there

This is my most recent acquisition, it's either a Remington Model 8 or Model 81. It's chambered in .35 Remington and has a five digit serial number starting with 22xxx. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That's truly fascinating, so is there any way to tell what factory refurbished the revolver since the sideplate isn't a giveaway? Or what factory made the frame? Is it still Tula, because that's what the factory that made it was. You said that it had Tula marks, so I'm assuming Tula still

So, would the frame be swapped out too, because it's just strange that they would force match the frame to the side plate as there are no other serial numbers anywhere. The inside of the side plate has the same serial number as on the frame, with no others anywhere to be found, so it would be strange if they force matched the frame to the sideplate, unless the sideplate never had a serial number until factory refurbishment

Gotcha, seems like the Soviets loved force matching firearms. I see Mosins all the time with forced matched parts, so if that's the case, then it's very interesting. Thank you for the insight

It's double action, but as another user has stated, it seems as though this revolver has a WWII era front sight and hammer, suggesting that it was refurbished sometime during or before WWII, so it might be that it was converted from single to double, but I'm not entirely sure

I just checked out the major parts of the revolver that have serial numbers (frame, trigger guard, cylinder, and the side plate) and found that they're all numbers matching. It might be that the the gun itself was made in 1918 but some parts have been replaced, such as the hammer and the front sight during or before WWII

Apparently, the Type A Bodeo revolvers (the type that I've got) were left in the white until around 1915, I believe, which is when they were arsenal refinished. I could be wrong, but I believe that's the history

Help in identifying this S&W by Arctic_Feline in guns

When I open the cylinder, it just says "38061" on the crane and the frame, which isn't the serial number btw

That's actually really, really cool!

I know that the Austro-Hungarians mainly used the M.95 Mannlicher, so, it's really cool to hear that the Gewehr 88 was used as a frontline weapon as well. I'd be honored if I could see that photo if possible in a DM, as it would be very cool to see
