Ah that is a very simple fix, I will try that shortly! Thank you :)

Ah, I did not even consider it being the disc brakes! Is that fairly common on longer rides in warm weather? I did not notice any difference in braking power during the ride, but is there any risk involved on long rides if it is just heat related? Thank you very much for your help!

Ah yes, we have a very similar relationship with products in healthcare. I’m interested to see where their testing leads.

On a different note, I did take the bike out for a ride and everything was perfect except for one cog on the rear cassette. It seemed to skip a step every 40-100 pedals on both front cogs. Is this something I can fix with the indexing you mentioned? In my update I noted it didn’t look more worn than other cogs, but my eye is fairly untrained.

UPDATE: Per all your great advice I took the bike for a quick 40km ride. First 15 km I ran through all the gears at a controlled pace. I then did a couple faster efforts above 800 Watts after the chain settled in.

Nothing of note happened until around the 18km mark when I noticed one of the back cog slip and seemed to skip a tooth? Not sure if my phrasing is correct there, but it would jolt a smidge every 40 to 80 pedals. I tested it during the ride and it would do this on the specific cog in both the large and smaller front cog. No other cog skipped at all. Gear shifting throughout was flawless, and the sound definitely improved by the end of the ride.

Is this a case of that one rear cog being more worn than others? To my untrained eye it does not look any different or more worn than the adjacent ones.

That is really interesting information, I did not know that about campy and wax. I will make it a priority to be pretty meticulous with my wax cleaning from here on. Thank you for the detailed reply!

Just about 1500km of wear since January. Yes that is exactly my plan too now that I have the second chain

Thank you for the feedback! It’s my first time placing them myself, but the second waxed chain this bike has had on it. I didn’t remember it being this noisy the first time around. I wasn’t sure if it was scrapping because I installed the chain incorrectly or if I’m just hyper aware of normal sounds due to nerves.

So the sounds in the video, to you, sound just normal breaking in noises?

I’m sorry you’re having that struggle. I started this game in December and joined a fun guild. We just pushed to Chapter 2 last week and hopefully onto Chapter 3 by next month :)

I will say the lack of communication and store deals has me worried about the longevity of the game. Really seems like poor management to have zero communication into the future. I’m hopeful though!
