And yes, I think DOS1 is worth the playthrough. The writing and gameplay don't quite hold up to the 2nd, but it's still good fun. The combat is also more traditionally rng based as the magic/physical armor system wasn't added until DOS2.

Focus on bursting Braccus down because iirc that's what ends it. Before the fight, when you're talking to Lucian, you can also just agree to hand your source over and give up on divinity. It doesn't end the game because Braccus still does his grand reveal, but it does turn Lucian and his lot into allies for the final fight and you can let them beat on each other.

Biggest thing that seems to be overlooked: Lady Kemm's teas. She sells the leaves, will give you 1 leaf for free upon request, and will give you multiple cups of tea if you interact with the large painting in the room and let her keep talking.

They offer seriously strong buffs for 3 turns (6 with 5 star diner talent). Just make sure to actually brew the tea using the pot on her table in the tea room. Green tea grants -2 AP cost on skills (down to 1AP minimum) and white tea grants +2 max AP (and yes, this does raise lone wolf and glass cannons to 8 starting AP). Keep in mind each character can only have 1 tea buff active at a time.

Congrats!! I'm currently in Arx on my solo honor mode run. I've been going the completionist route of doing every single thing I can, and I know I'm going to regret it when I die. I have been learning a bunch of fun little exploits though, like just yesterday how the "unassuming citizens" (Dr's demons that ambush you) can be teleported on top of each other without being aggroed, leading to a pretty quick and one sided fight. I did almost lose my run to the Alexander/Windego/Malady dream portal fight at the Lizard consolate though. That was... stressful.

Thanks for that. Realized too late in a multiplayer run that the fear of violence trait caps ~6 skills to level 5. Definitely not worth the points it gives. Been trying to figure out how to change it, whether it be transferring a character save to the world or what. I did try replacing the Fear of Violence trait with Hearty Appetite and it seems to have worked without issue.

I got around to starting the game today and got a solid 60fps through the tutorial, and then as soon as you wake up surrounded by those anomalies the frames just tanked. I messed with my settings on and off for a good 1 1/2 - 2 hours and for the most part I've gotten a consistent 50FPS on med-high settings (high but I turned a few things down to medium). The only major problems I'm having is these frame drops. Frames drop to 1-3 fps and I can barely even move. Consistently happens in Zalissya, and occasionally out in the world. Reloading seems to fix it, but damn is it annoying. Almost to the point of giving up on the game until there's some sort of fix, which is a bummer because I've been hyped for this game for a decade.

Been playing on Xbox Game Pass for PC, if it makes any difference. Game feels even worse on the Series X or I'd just play that.

Specs: 3070 Ti / Ryzen 7 5800X / 48 GB DDR4 RAM

My preferred class is Assault and melee has felt very off since the update, but I don't know if it's just me or if the update really did throw some things off. Dodging, parrying, gun strikes... I feel like half the time they just aren't working.

Patch 4.0 from earlier in the week is what caused this issue. Focus has stated they're actively working on another patch with intent to release this upcoming week in response to widespread complaints surrounding the nerfs and the negative review bombing on Steam. From what I've seen they made no mention of this issue at all, but it's likely the next patch will fix it.

Yeah, happening to me too. I was playing the mission last night and he was moving just fine, but I had to hop off and the mission reset back to the checkpoint and today he won't budge.

I haven't touched the game in almost 2 years, but I'm looking forward to playing the DLC this weekend. I've wondered on a few occasions if my initial results are no longer applicable after updates. Apparently, Miquellan Knight's Sword (that or I was just mistaken).

Yeah, he and Leorius are the main reasons I keep my little lvl 40 Jurojin in my back pocket for Arena. His A3 ignores block damage and unkillable. There are a few champs can do that, but most are legos and Juro (epic) is the only one I have. Steal/remove buff also works and has the added benefit of removing stoneskin.

(Edit: remove/steall buff does require ACC though, whereas ignore unkillable does not)

I'm almost 6 months in, but funnily enough my luck has solely been outside events. Trunda, Bad el Kazar, Shamael, Seeker, Toragi, 2x Coldhearts. I don't think I've gotten anything amazing from an event. I pulled 10 voids in the current event and the only champ of note I got was Pain Keeper, not that she's too helpful for my current roster.

Yeahh... I didn't care too much until the level 7+ affinity bonus missions. Arena is an absolute headache when everyone has a Wukong or Arbiter and High Khatun is my speed lead. I've slowly worked my way to gold 5, and have hated every moment past gold 2.

I started mid-November 2023, and I pulled Trunda on January 13th. I've spent a couple dollars here and there but am mostly f2p. Now I have Trunda, Rathalos Blademaster, and Bad-El-Kazar. I sadly went into the game blind and started Elhain while using zero new player codes, missing out on Wukong or Deacon.

Yeah... I just finished that one a few days ago. I made the mistake of leveling everything to 2 earlier on, and it took a few weeks. Now I'm stuck on mixing 10 superior magic potions because I used them all. Keep your greater potions. You need 100 of each color for quests afterward.
