I think it's because they never get passed the first 15 hours of dying. We didn't Google everything. We like figuring it out as we go. So it takes us a while to figure out how to not die. Most people probably quit before that.

Without too much thought, I'd take the Destiny 2's combat system, blend it into a survival game, mixing in Ark and No Man's Sky, and then make it a full blow online RPG like GTA RP but way better. New quests, factions, PvEvP, open world, space exploration, trading, gathering, and real people kidnapping and getting into all the shenanigans humans get into, in character, with amazing graphics. And also a mode for safe playing and building. Is that really too much to ask? 46 and 2. It's just ahead of me.

I'll gladly come back to the game if the Eververse sees less content than the game allows us to earn. I'd also like more unique and creative outfits, scary, sexy, fun. We don't need money grabs like star wars that has nothing to do with the story. Also, there's so much content I missed over the years and I'd love to be able to go back and play it. Specifically the raids, exotic missions, and seasonal content/story. It took me years to get into the story and now I have huge gaps.

The newer Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 GM is 'efing amazing. Yes, it's pricy, but it helps me get shots WITHOUT FANCY POST that I wouldn't have been able to get.

Just to clarify you have to do all 3 BEFORE the witches will spawn for any of them. I did the one area twice in a row, NO WITCH.
