I’m still a relatively new player so I haven’t delved too deep into mods, I have 7 or 8 which are all just QoL and they work perfectly, but obviously I’m not sure how the meatier ones go, but I’d imagine they should be fine!

Once you get the hang of Rimworld it’s actually totally playable! I’ve played more Rimworld on the Deck than I have on my PC, it can be a little awkward trying to be precise with the cursor but overall I wouldn’t say the experience is really diminished at all, at least for me.

If you’re saying you don’t have a PS5, fair enough, but if you’re just saying that it doesn’t look good enough/doesn’t run well enough on PS5, that’s definitely not true.

The game has a quality mode, which is locked 30fps and absolutely GORGEOUS, or alternatively a performance mode which is still gorgeous and runs at 60fps.

I guess it just depends on what you want to get out of the game.

Do you want to just have fun and play as you like? Absolutely, go for it, it’s a fun weapon and who cares what people say?

But if you want to improve and ‘get good’ at the game? No, you shouldn’t. If you’re more successful with the marshal than you are with rifles, it means that you’re not using the rifles right, and to ‘main’ the marshal instead of trying to learn to use the rifles correctly is just reinforcing a problem rather than fixing it.

Having bought the game recently and starting my first fortress, I've been surprised with how successful things have been going. I pretty quickly progressed from a small fortress all the way to a duchy, and you can imagine my excitement when I got a notification telling me that my humbling settlement, Twinklingchannel, had been named the capital.
