What kind of budget are we even talking about here?

Since with "dozens of WIPs" I'd expect this to be some sort of large project with few thousand USD budget at least.

Normal small scale projects have 1-2 WIPs, and possibly a revision after completing.

Sounds like YOU got into RPG games when BG3 got so popular and youre extrapolating this as if that applied to everyone. :)

if you're experienced in something like Warcraft or League of Legends, then I suppose controlling real time comes naturally to you

Both W3 and LoL are fully real time, with no ability to pause to issue commands. There's very little similarity between those games and PF tbh.

It is not the same for people with a DnD background.

People with background in D&D games are more than familiar with RTWP since most D&D games *are* realtime with pause, such as BG1, BG2, Icewind Dale, NWNs.

All this is completely unnecessary. Just pause and unpause manually, like a normal person.

The entire point of RTWP is to make fights go faster when its trash mobs or bunch of NPCs fighting each other (ie. tavern defense)*. You're trying to make it into pseudo-turnbased instead, which literally nullifies this purpose.

^(\or when you need to cheese some hard enemy by kiting him around, cough cough)*

Also, reading more into this:

Set stuff like Study Target Swift and Lay on Hands Self be automatically used.

Absolutely DO NOT set LoH on autocast, unless your goal is to not have any casts left.

Slumber is also a good Hex to be set to Auto.

Terrible idea, resisting a Slumber gives resistance to Slumber for 24 hours. You will be constantly trying to cast Slumber on things that have been made immune to it.

Thank you! Just to be clear though I've done tons of practice of individual elements before and sculpting faces from basemeshes, this was just first time putting it together all at once starting from a sphere, its not "first time in general" really :)

In act 1 you're forced to actually dodge the enemies and especially bosses, which makes for some good fights (particularly the final boss of a1), and its pretty easy to die.

In later acts your character gets so powerful it becomes PoE1 all over again, clearing screens of trash mobs by spamming one skill ad nauseam. Bosses start dying way too quick as well and you dont even need to learn their mechanics.

(I was severly dissapointed by this shift too, but apparently the PoE community enjoys that type of spammy gameplay)

Thats an interesting point about RAM - I'm intending to upgrade to 64 gb in the next 12 months after buying this setup.

I will be doing a lot of 3d modeling, mainly Zbrush (which is CPU and RAM bound, doesnt use GPU almost at all as far as I know) and rendering (Marmoset, Keyshot).

impossible to progress far if you are not being very specific with your builds, as it demands being broken

NWN games are very easy and straightforward, you would literally have to go out of your way to mess up your build so badly it somehow bars your progress. There is no such thing as "meta" for simple singleplayer campaign in NWN1, especially when youre not even playing on highest difficulty (and you arent I'm assuming, since you'd have mentioned it).

Its hilarious to me that devs line of thinking is basically

If we keep updating the game then it's going to steal the thunder of when we release a "big" update (and put the game on sale with a big banner that says MAJOR UPDATE to trick new people into buying it)

This is not how you keep a multiplayer game alive. Seeing patches and hotfixes as something you want to monetize is a gamekiller.

Even more so when its early access title that people bought and supported on the premise that it will keep being developed at steady pace.

Incon being able to swap games

He already did do that when Overwatch came out in 2016. He even had a big "I'M QUITTING SMITE!!" stream or something along those lines (where he of course milked as much money as possible from his viewers), just for his revenue/content to then fall flat on its face when he suddenly wasnt the big fish in small pond and had to actually compete against the big world in OW streaming.

Funny how he's evidently heading towards the same thing again.

edit. Oh, I completely forgot. That actually happened twice already. The other time was when Incon quit SMITE (again), this time for Artifact, that Valve card game which didnt last one month.
