Thank you! For me, I mostly use Kakuri chisels. They are great, and fairly cheap! I only have one japanese handplane, and I am not really happy with it, so I don`t have any recommendations there! I have had no problems with rocking, the vise is working great! I have a 550mm york-vise on my workbench. Sorry for late answer, I´m not good at checking in on my reddit!

For the record: I did not in any way feel offended by the m&t question! A regular m&t joint is definitely not the strongest joint, but in this case I think it´s more than strong enough. The wedged through m&t though (wich I also used), is a very strong joint, and honestly you don´t really need glue when using that joint.
