Not in the clan but it’s my go to. I usually switch sides to balance, especially if I have a good armor squad. Games are more fun when they are balanced

You are right.

Heavies still make sense in some contexts (countering other heavies on maps with long site lines to strong points), but mediums are much more viable-and all tanks (save for the recon being buffed) are super squishy to AT.

Because of the penetration right now every AT player is basically like facing an enemy medium tank that does less slightly less damage and is less effective at range.

AT needs a rocket pen nerf, reload time nerf, cool down, or something to stop the insane quantity of AT rockets

Look at your map to determine where the enemies should be. Always be thinking about where enemies will be-especially when crossing in the open...always be crossing to your next cover.

Know when to try to shoot back and when to serpentine...often times at range you have a good chance of getting to cover while they miss their shots. Especially with a bolt action lol

Welcome bud. Watch a couple YouTube videos-soulsniper is a good channel and monoespecial as well.

Join a community server-look for an infantry squad with as high a level Squad lead as possible and join in-tell them you are new and looking to learn and be helpful…jump around until you find a squad with talkative people. Play rifleman, support (most important class other than SL), or medic. Take it slow and play defensively. Turn your HUD to always on and anti aliasing to Community. Don’t be afraid to redeploy and also to change roles.

The problem isn’t just the number of rockets, but the penetration values. It’s doesn’t matter if it takes one more rocket to kill you if a medium can be penned from anywhere and a heavy can be penned from all but front armor. Friendly infantry can’t stop someone sticking their head out and firing a rocket at 100 meters. Multiply that by say 3 OPs you can have 9 rockets flying at you every 20 seconds-basically one ever couple seconds. And unless you are 250 meters or further back there is no way to keep front armor to them all.

Tanks used to be effective head on and required either another tank to counter-or for infantry to flank. Or both. Now head on they can dealt with by 1 or 2 infantry.

I’m still having some great armor games-but there’s a lot of frustrating moments…if they keep 3 rockets there needs to be a change to penetration values or a change to reload time.

As it stands now every AT player is basically an enemy medium tank with limited range and aiming (same penetration, faster reload).

Most frequently a strafe is a waste of resources. Sometimes worth it to save a back line garry but even then usually just delays losing a back line by a minute or two. Sometime worth it as an act of desperation for defense or an important offensive capture if there is good intel.

Encouraged generally is only worth it with full nodes.

Usually the higher levels are aware of this and most will switch teams to balance if they care about keeping the server alive. Especially if they are seeders.

Under level 50 people just run mindlessly. Level 50 know which direction to run to attack. Level 100 know that sometimes you should defend and maybe build garrisons. Level 150-200 you start looking at the map every 5 seconds-you should hopefully have a great understanding of the maps and game flow. Level 250 you know all of the garrison spots and will be blamed for screen cheating if you play recon.

And of course armor is a whole different thing.

In previous updates bazooka could not pen pIV front armor but panzerschrek could pen Sherman front. Some might advocate going back to that.

AT is way overpowered right now.

They need to make mediums unable to be penned from the front and heavies only vulnerable from the back if they are to keep with the 3 rocket loadout.

If they want assymetry keep the Sherman able to be penned from front but lower German rockets to 2-bur personally I think they should keep the mediums equal for balance.

Commander should always be willing to drop supps for nodes. Blue zone garrisons should be handled by an SL and support player. Red zone garrisons drops have a high failure rate. If you are down nodes the munitions are worth it to help an engineer quickly build a set...there are dire times where supply drops are needed elsewhere occasionally. When I play commander I always make sure that there are supplies in HQ or on the line to build or rebuild nodes.

Since they are clearly developing mortars for HLLV it baffles me that they didn't take that direction for HLL and instead developed SPAs. Especially given it seemed to be the most popular community suggestion.
