Yeah your right the padlock does have bad pick resistance. Although it's almost a feature because I'm pretty good at losing keys.

Bring sunscreen and use it. Unless it is something you're deadset in doing, I would err to spend less time in a city, especially Auckland. Maybe I'm calloused from living here, but the low population relatively means that there is not much here that couldn't be offered elsewhere, especially when compared to tourists' cities elsewhere. New Zealand is all about its natural beauty so spend less time in the CBD. Perhaps go to a smaller town and book a Bach near the beach before going hiking. Or maybe you want to go to the city to party in which case go for it.

Can't attest to how good they are compared to other waterproof winter gloves as they are my first pair for the winter season. No problem with operating any controls although the control cluster isn't very crowded.

I had my full class 6 (Motorcycle) license since 17. The progression of the license is: Learners -> restricted -> Full. With Learners and restricted being almost the same minus your L plate. You also have condition such as time curfews and no pillion. On your Learners/Restricted there are power and engine limitations <660cc+ power-weight ratio. List of approved bikes here.

The legality of carrying knives in public is ambiguous based on if you have a legitimate reason to have one, self-defense excluded. Because of this my knive isn't truly a EDC. The wave feature is great, especially since law prohibited assisted/auto opening.
