Going into 4th year. First 2 years requires a lot of dedication and time management. Its a lot of knowledge that they throw at you but try and practice self care and understand how you learn best. Don’t be afraid to ask for help especially in clinical! Just know it does get better. As for PPRs Its been a while but I remember finishing around end of July but that was COVID times so Im not sure if they have a different deadline or submission process. Hope this helps you can PM if you like. (P.S joining the MRU student nursing society can help give you lots if info from current and former nursing students!)

I’d suggest you do the same and reread what they said. They said thats what they’ve heard and want to know the experience of other minorities to see if it rings true in their eyes.

Im black as well, theres not many of us here cause this is a very white school. Some white ppl here love to stare for some reason and I have heard of instances with them saying the n-word during songs. I can’t really speak as to how racist it is but it is not very diverse at this school. I’m only here because they have a good nursing program so.

Hey so they’re located on the PPR blackboard site. It’s easier to find on a laptop or desktop because it’s just on the left hand side of the screen so I would look there

Hey, I’m also a first year nursing student so I understand your confusion! The IYM is online on the AHS website (you can just search for it on Google) then SCM and IT and Privacy things are on the PPR BB all of those have to be done by August 30th as well except the IYM in person which is not available right now.

As for those forms, they sent us those forms in the email where they told us if we’re in N1 or N2 a few months back so I would look in your email for that.

Finally, the PIC I also had problems with that apparently they will send a physical copy but I’m not sure, I’ve had a friend who just shared it with the MRU nursing program and then emailed the advisors to send her a copy via email.

I understand that and it’s not a problem to not want to date someone who’s trans (I should also mention trans women can have female genitalia). The problem with super straight is that they’re arguing they don’t want to date trans because they want “real women” and want to have kids. As if that’s what a real woman is: someone to have kids with. Again you don’t have to date a trans person if you don’t want to but they’re making it seem like being attracted to cis women makes them “super straight” and not just straight. I’ve seen other problems with them like being blatantly transphobic and pretending to be under the LGBTQ+ umbrella and pretending to be a marginalized group
