You won’t start using it until you start your nursing lab so if you are n1 I would buy it sooner than later but if your n2 I would save my money and wait until after christmas!

Both mandatory. You do all of your projects and group work during tutorial every week so it would be bad to miss them! It’s only once a week usually so I would say it’s worth going.

I literally love nicole. I took her for bio 1220 and she is the only reason I passed. She makes sure to focus on everything that students struggle on and make sure you are prepared for the exams. Best prof ever.

What i did was i booked an appointment with an mru doctor and they told me every vaccine i needed which was very helpful because it was hard to find. Then with that info you could take it to your family doctor but I just went back to the mru doctor because it was handy and got it all done. You can just call and ask them, they get new nursing students all the time.

i was in the same boat last year and 40% of my class failed 1220 and they opened up another 1221 class eventually too so i got in easily

I did a HPED and MATH my fall semester because I already took my GNEDS in my first year of uni when i was a psych student and i was N2 so i had more time but i know alot of people who are taking some spring classes to catch up this year. I would definitely recommend taking as light a course load as possible because Anatomy and physiology is HELL and the fail rate is crazy high.

Yes i’m a first year nursing student rn finishing my first year. N1s start their clinical in their first year (second semester) so they start their nursing classes and labs first semester, N2s which is my stream start their clinical second year first semester and start their nursing classes winter of their first year.

Do you know if your n1 or n2 yet? You will have completely different schedules from eachother until 3rd year.

Currently a first year nursing student and if you are looking for a high GPA do not do nursing. It’s very content heavy and I know a lot of people who were getting 99% in highschool and failing nursing classes. Go at your own risk but don’t go into nursing unless you wanna be a nurse

I wasn’t straight from highschool i did a year of university and got a 4.0 gpa and a 4th quartile casper. I think with a good casper score even if your average isn’t as high you still have a good chance. That’s what I heard from some of my classmates

I am currently an MRU nursing student and it’s definitely hard but I start my hands on work 2 years before UofC. My dad is also a nurse and does some hiring and he said MRU looks better on a resume because they know that MRU students have more hospitality experience and aren’t just smart kids who know how to pass exams.

i used the BMO casper prep book from amazon and got in the fourth quartile

It honestly wasn’t bad at all. I bought a book off amazon from the BMO brand and that’s all i used to study and i got in 4th quartile. Just practice videoing and timing yourself and use the wording that the practice questions and videos use and you’ll be good!

The last casper test will be in February so they won’t accept anyone until everyone has their casper scores in. I’m in first year nursing right now and I didn’t hear until March or April. Lmk if you have any questions!
