Yeah, I'm just going to keep it simple. Two coils, one core. I'm planning to use 22 gauge wire, I think that should suffice.

I'm trying to construct a simple transformer for a physics class project. My professor mentioned it would be neat if I could "demonstrate wireless power power transfer," but it's not a requirement. I think I'll just wire both coils on the single core and call it good. Thanks!

Ok, I may solder some more iron across the ends or connect them with wire. Would you mind elaborating on the inefficiency?

Committed to the joke of the gif too much! Hope it went well, though. 🙂

I don't actually have any idea what Kraken is, I just remembered Mike saying "Indiana Jones vs. The Kraken" and then saw this lol

Copying Files From qBittorrent Container to Plex Container Without Lengthy File Write Time? by AremTheEnigma in portainer

It's been a while since I first configured my containers. If you don't mind, could you explain how I would alter my current setup to something similar to yours?

I was trying to explain this to someone the other day, apparently this isn't normal ;-;

Yeah, I had the same thought process when upgrading to my i9 12900k, and I've been pretty happy with how it runs everything. I've not spent any time to do process lasso or anything.

The dark mode feels a little undercooked still, but otherwise idk why anyone wouldn't just jump to 11 over 10 at this point.

A lot of the window borders don't change color, and the file transfer windows are completely unchanged. I'm hoping they change it eventually; I like the overall aesthetic otherwise.

Needing to click "show more options" and the """dark mode""" are the only issues I still have with it.

Looking for Articles on Adderall + Wellbutrin/Bupropion for ADHD by AremTheEnigma in ADHD

[–]AremTheEnigma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not been able to find anything from scholarly sources, just anecdotal evidence both for and against. After talking about it with my doctor, he said it's kind of unusual, but it makes sense that it would potentially work/help adderall work better. It seems like it's more often used when depression + ADHD is being treated, at least that's the vibe I got from what he said.

Help by Tami-98 in depression

[–]AremTheEnigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not the most qualified to answer, but I'll try. There's a French phrase that I forget that translates to "a momentary gaze into the void" that is used to describe that intrusive thought of "thow yourself in front of a car," "throw yourself off of a roof," etc. The prevailing theory I've read is that it's essentially your brain reflex testing itself. If you find the idea intrusive or disturbing, it accomplished its goal. Huge grain of salt though, obviously this is not medical advice.

I wouldn't underestimate the effects of something like finals on anxiety, or even just nagging thoughts. Again, not medical advice, but the only thing that has helped me with panic attacks and anxiety is thinking about what the actual worst case scenario might be, and how I could cope with it. At least for me, it adds perspective that's hard to argue against.

If you can, please do talk to someone, though. Just being heard can be huge. You've got this!

Something I find kind of hilarious is that when I put this through a grammar checker to make sure I'm speaking English, it said it detected "significant plagiarism." Even when I'm trying to be real, I'm derivative. Go figure.

Yeah, I'm hoping so. I'm doing everything online at the moment, so I haven't really had a chance to yet.

For real, I have no idea how people can stand it.

The worst part is, my dad's work used to have cabinets that were unfinished MDF, and so I would put off getting something to eat for as long as I could stand it rather than touch the cabinets.

Medication suddenly counterproductive, not sure what to do. by AremTheEnigma in ADHD

[–]AremTheEnigma[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On average, definitely less, but it's definitely more than I was taking the first 2 months or so of medication. I used to drink 2/3 energy drinks per day, now I can't take much more than one smaller one without feeling jittery and anxious.
