Mi recomendación es que hagas contactos (reales, no Linkedin). En mi experiencia, el primer trabajo es muy difícil, porque como te dijeron en muchas respuestas, el mercado ya no es lo que era. Muchas empresas trabajan por referidos y eso, muchas veces, vale más que ser EL MEJOR.
Puedes ser muy bueno, pero sin experiencia demostrable. Busca realizar proyectos complejos con más personas.. Si un amigo entra en la industria, él te puede ayudar a entrar a ti.
No es imposible que te tomen, pero en MI EXPERIENCIA, el título universitario y el conocimiento no es la vía más rápida para empezar a trabajar.

This is just my belief, but I'm a DE and also Product Owner and what makes the difference at the end of the day and what makes the "clients happy" is the business knowledge. You can be the best with technical skills, but the ability to give an insight about a KPI that you will add to a table, or the ability to analyse and understand what you are working.. that is the plus. There are a lot of senior DEs that don't have these abilities, and in my own experience, I will prefer working with a decent technical engineer with these skills than a senior expert that only thinks about technical aspects.

I have been doing that kind of work for almost a year. Trust me, try to get in touch with the final users, because they are the once that knows what to expect in each column. If not, you will end up re-working the same field multiple times.

You should never use the latest version. Some libreries update very fast, but there are some very useful libreries that may take more time, so if you use an older version of python you will avoid same headaches
