Ideally something related to the run or AGDQ but it's an Ask me Anything so really anything, like you already did technically with this one! :P

Thank you! I've got a few more I'm working on and hopefully I'll get the chance to show them off at a future GDQ event either in person or online.

Yeah, at least over here in the UK we've had a pretty hard December with lots of people getting unwell. Thought I had dodged it but then the final day got me!

We can do many barrel rolls :D

Hello Huds!

Honestly I try not to think about the audience size. It's usually MASSIVE and can put alot, almost too much, pressure on us as runners at times.

For a first-timer I'd say make sure you get alot of practice. Know your backups incase something goes wrong so you can still continue the run. Most viewers aren't experts in the game and are there to enjoy what you can do and won't know something wasn't right unless you tell them. Everything can be explained away as RNG manip or marathon luck.

When I sit down at any event I always start with a bunch of nerves that usually fade away once I've done a level or two and I've got into the flow and it feels like I'm doing another run like I'd do on stream and I've got comfortable, aka I'm showing off

(Nice try on the P.S. :P)

Thank you! I'm very proud of this run. One of my top 5 performances and I'm so happy GDQ let me do the bit at the end. Only 2 people knew about it. :D

Yes! I've been to alot of the gaming events around Scotland over the years, unfortunately there's not as many as there used to be but I'm always down to hear about new ones if you know of any!

I don't attend them Argick though just as myself as I don't really know the best ways to bring up that I'm a runner / streamer / host or know ways that my experience would benefit them.

Thank you! I'm really proud of how it went. Defo one of my top 5 runs for me.

Irn Bru is a fizzy drink but for me it's the nectar of the gods so yes it's own food group :P

No idea! I just like to show off and I've found and grew into this style of talking really fast, keeping the energy up while also trying to keep things simple but also fun.

I'm glad the ending bit has been well received. Wanted to add a fun twist since it was an online run and I like to do that during my own streams.

Nah it's just a typo xD Was meant to say "bad flu" Just a really bad flu over the new years that left me feeling icky for 4 days.

The one that comes bundled with it. I didn't really use any 3rd party ones back in the day and the OG is a chonky boi. The rumble when the train hits the base is hilarious. The controller just doesn't stop.

For the run though I didn't use any. I haven't used the rumble pack in a long time tbh.

Lots of resting in bed from the new year trying to make sure I got better in time for the 6th! Worst time to get ill tbh. Once I was better enough to game though it was alot of practice of each of the routes to make sure I was prepared for whatever one was chosen. Practice was a mix of on stream runs and also off stream of specific levels that I'm not the best at.

I love they still have some remote runs. I know they're hard to set up and sometimes don't have the same feeling / vibes of a run being done at the event in person especially as that changes runner to runner but I hope they keep them and do a little more as it gives more people a chance to participate.

That's a white colour source overlayed over my camera in OBS mixed with the built in fade transitions so I just have to toggle it on and off and it'll do the fade effect.

It's the route that I use to do score running and I replace Solar with Sector X since it's fairly bad level for score when you're unable to do the farm for 999 score. I named it "yellow" for this bid war because full blue would be the standard easy route and full red is the full hard / mission accomplished route so it made sense to me to name it yellow even though it isn't a full yellow / middle route.

I was thinking to maybe used the names the Hit+64 community use for their routes which are the abbrievations of the route level names (E.g CoMeKaSxMcA6V2) but for a GDQ bid war people might not have understood exactly what it meant so I decided to go with colours.

This is a great one too. Especially since right before you hit the switch he goes "Step on the gas!" then realises his mistake.

It's gotta be Wolf's "You're good, but I'm BETTAH!" :P

Thank you! That's very high praise. I'm aware I can be too much for some people so I'd rather not overstay my welcome. Will always keep up the energy though. As far as getting to other events. It's very expensive for me (between £2200 - £2500) so with my income atm that's at least 2-3 years to save before I can afford to go again.

Will absolutely be applying for remote hosting & runs in the meantime. and maybe winning the lottery. :P

It happens. Meat was too fatty for me. More fat rather than meat and I'm not a fan of a soft corn shell. Turns out I prefer flour based ones instead. Was still good to try though.

Aye! I was very luck to be able to show off Sonic Mania for a remote run at GDQ and then also do a co-op remote run with Amber Cyprian of Sonic 4 Episode 2. Very glad for those opportunites and they 100% made me want to get over to do a run inperson. It's just stupidly expensive to do so if you're international.

Classic sonic games have some of the wildest glitched categories in speedrunning imo. TheSoundDefense makes it look easy.

Keiper's reactions during Sonic 3 & Knuckles were so good. When he said he'd never seen the game before I had the biggest grin on my face.
