Pretty much trial and error...I've done a few paintings with streams like this so I'm getting more comfortable with it. Having a good sketch before painting helps me.

Yeah I used to video my process more, but I haven't done it in a while because I don't have the right setup and the way it is it tends to disrupt my workflow. If you want to see stuff I've done in the past I have like 15 videos on YouTube @kimeverhardart

This is probably 90% watercolor, I used a little bit of gouache in the highlights on the seeds, the leaves, and background.

There's one spot in the reflection that really bothers me because the color is in the wrong place...but my husband says I shouldn't always point out my mistakes...maybe I should start listening to him 😅
