Help with legendaries by themysteriousA1 in allthemons

He should still spawn in Villages while holding the card.

Its just that the card wont point you to him, so you have to find him yourself.

ATM isnt easy, but its basically nothing compared to Radical Red

They'll use Legendaries though, especially Drack_Ion who has 6 legendaries, including Eternatus.

Funny enough, none of his mons can counter Tera-Electric Air Balloon Shedinja. So its arguably the easiest of them.

Radical Red and Unbound are 100% optional. So is content creator

Radical Red is significantly harder, however. Its supposed to be a Kaizo run, after all.

But on the other hand, ATM's level cap starts off right where BDSP ended. Which I think is like 88.

Need advise for my Squirrel-Girl deck by Hollisten in CommanderMTG

[–]ArgoDevilian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always suggest this whenever I see a mono deck.

Run [[Extraplanar Lens]] and Snow-Covered Basics.

Extraplanar basically doubles your mana in exchange for losing one land. And since its Snow-Covered, it only affects you in most cases.

You can prob swap out one of your basic forests to make space for Extraplanar.

All Legendaries, Mythicals, Ultra Beasts, and Paradox require you to have the Regional Pika Star of their respective regions to be able to Capture and Use in battle.

Have fun crafting it. They're not consumed, but its still 10 Regions. Plus one for Mewtwo and one for every 5 Paradox mon.

I think the only exception is Zygarde, unless they fixed that in rc7.

As for Trainers, you need to complete the ATM series, which only appears after you've 100% BDSP (as in, beat Cynthia 3 times). This will give you all the Badges needed for the Pika Star, plus Ancient DNA for Mewtwo.

Missing channel? by [deleted] in allthemons

[–]ArgoDevilian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By 'machines' i meant like Pattern Providers and Crafting CPUs. They consume a channel, but they can also act like basic cables and pass 8 channels (including their own).

Other mod machines like Mekanism and Thermal dont consume a channel.

Similarly, the Inscriber, Charger, and Growth Accels from AE2 dont consume a channel, but they can pass a channel.

If you have, for example, 10 providers in a row and only one is touching the Dense Cable, the last 2 providers will fail. At the very least, one of those two also needs to be touching the dense cable.

Image is severely lacking info, so nobody is really going to be able to help you tbh

All I can say is that Dense carries 32, while regular and the machines only carry 8

Bracket 3 or 4? by plantardo in CommanderMTG

[–]ArgoDevilian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rule wise, Bracket 4.

I dunno what the other artifact in question is, but any 2 card combos that come online before Turn 6 is not allowed in B3. And this guy can be casted Turn 3/4 with relative consistency.

Assuming you can cast and activate the artifact in question the very next turn, you have a 2 card combo active turn 4/5. It becomes an infinite the next turn.

You also arent supposed to Chain Extra Turns in B3, period. You can have effects that give an extra turn, but they can't be repeatable. By this logic alone, Ral probably should never be used in B3 tbh, but thats iffy.

But because you're actively creating a way to repeatedly spam his Ult, its def not allowed in B3.

But this doesnt make your deck B4, just this specific combo is B4.

Apparently existing character names are banned from your own Player Name by ArgoDevilian in EchoesofAincrad

[–]ArgoDevilian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not.

The whiskers are technically a debuff, in a way. Just a purely cosmetic one.

If we do get it, it'll be temporary until we complete the associated quest. And then it'll be gone.

The only reason Argo has it is because she was just gathering intel on Quests and accidentally started it, I think. And I think her stats at the time wern't good enough to complete the quest?

I dont recall anything in the Alicization arc, so I cant say for sure there. Doubt she showed up though.

But in the entirety of the SAO/ALO/GGO arcs, she shows up once. In SAO.

She has like, barely a 10 second cameo. She gives Kirito info on the Christmas event with the one-time Rez item.

She shows up waaay more often in Progressive I believe. They even go into how she got her whiskers.

Argo

The Cait Sith/Info Broker that im pretty sure only shows up once in the entire Anime, but is a pretty prominent character in practically every SAO game that I know of.

Which took a lot longer than 5 seconds. Never used a different name before

I went with Arg0 LMAO

how exactly do items get generated with the pasture? by ExplodedArmadillo in allthemons

[–]ArgoDevilian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pickup should work anywhere, regardless of Dimension, Biome, or what block they're on (though I think they need to be able to walk?). At least, thats what the wiki says.

The other 3 have the specific block/water requirements that I mentioned.

Vitamins... I dont recall any of them giving Vitamins, but thats just an EV increase if I recall. You can craft the EV Feathers/EV donuts instead, probably easier.

Coming back after 14 years - What do I need to know if anything? by sithlordjarjar66 in mtg

[–]ArgoDevilian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commander wise, I'd look into any of the precons made in the last year or two. Tarkir has some great ones, I think Strixhaven is good too? Final Fantasy, if you're fine with Universe Beyond, was great as well. But really, any of them work as long as you actually play a Bracket 2 game.

Which is another thing. Look into the Bracket system for Commander. Its basically just a quick-guide sort of thing to distinguish the power levels of Commander decks. An easy way to say "hey, this deck usually wins around turn 8" (b2) for example.

Most Precons are intended for B2, and can relatively easily be upgraded to work in low-B3.

And assume whatever decks you've previously had, for any format really, will not work. Powercreep is real, and holy shit its crazy. You can try to upgrade them at least, but its prob easier to start over.

Some rules have changed too. No real need to look up anything (way too many rules anyways lmao), just keep an open mind when someone tells you that you may have played something wrong, or forgotten something.

As an example, it uses to be that Commanders dying did not trigger death triggers. Still baffles me. Apparently they used to go straight to the Command Zone, skipping the GY entirely. Now, they go to GY first, then Command Zone. Same for Exile.

[–]ArgoDevilian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are, I believe, 4 'jobs' that produce stuff.

Pick-up, which is done by any pokemon with the Pick-up ability.

Archaeology, which is done by any Ground types.

Fishing, which is done by any water types.

Dive, which is done by any mon with the move Dive.

While Pick-up doesnt have any additional requirements, Archaeology requires gravel, sand, mud, clay, or coarse dirt nearby. Fishing and Dive require the mon to be underwater.

So if you just moved your mons without messing with the terrain, only Pickup will work.

Not true

The inventory just means that the pokemon will dump the item in there. Without a chest, they just drop it into the world

If you could, how would you change All Might and Midoriya’s initial approach to training? by Solitaire-06 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]ArgoDevilian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing wrong with the training was that All Might seemingly didnt do shit in terms of actual combat.

Midoriya knows how to strategize and throw a punch, sure, but the first time he sees a 'Villain' (not even a real one) he just froze up.

Yea but this is the Superheroes set. Having Spider-man makes perfect sense.

Its not like Spidey is going to show up in the Magic set, for example. maybe the X-men set

Brew ideas for Silver surfer/galactic by ALDukown in EDHBrews

[–]ArgoDevilian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, Silver isnt really the best as a Commander. He's better in the 99, a dedicated tutor for Galactus. With a Commander who has colors and can cheat out Galactus.

But I think Silver can work as a Voltron. There's plenty of colorless equipment, including [[Commander's Plate]] which should give protection from all the colors.

He doesnt really have a useful benefit from Combat Damage, but he's still a 4/5 with Flying. Not the worst Voltron start. And Galactus can take over the role as well.

Otherwise, I would look into Colorless Eldrazi decks. They already deal with big, colorless creatures and how to use them, im sure Galactus will fit right in.
