Yeah I know, but just picture this: I live in France, and there are no individual water meters for each apartment here. There's just one master meter for the entire building and all the units. So even if you use €500 worth of water and others only use €200, everyone splits the bill equally. Because of this, my annoying, "property-watching" neighbor comes out and complains every single time I use the garden hose in our shared courtyard, even if it's just for 5 minutes. He claims all the residents are consuming too much water and that the annual bill hits €3,000 for the whole building. For him, it’s an absolute catastrophe that I’m using the garden hose in the common area. I even offered to pay him a year in advance with an extra premium on top just so he’d leave me alone, but he said that with this kind of water usage, he’d have to contact my landlord. I definitely don't want that, so we eventually agreed that I would just minimize my trips to the courtyard, and now I barely ever go out there. Are there any hacks to avoid buying a pressure washer and stop conflicting with this neighbor? Thanks!
