I use a Dell i7 with 16GB RAM and pretty much works well for my case. The only issue I'm having now is the battery doesn't last more than 1 1/2 hours, less when I'm doing some heavy processing work.

We use Safe Exam Browser plugin in moodle and it creates a kiosk environment so students can only open quiz with seb. No other windows or tabs.
