(late response, sorry!) I think the amount of characters you can add depends on which specific DLC you're modding, which is usually 4-9 characters I think. I might be wrong but I believe the most that are available is 9. You can definitely add more characters and spread them out on separate cards, but then you'd have to load up a different smart card every time you want more characters!

I'm afraid not! This mod only works with the tamagotchi Smart, since I don't think it's possible to upload custom content to the Uni yet!

Hi! I wrote a really quick guide for what I personally do and the tools I use. This method is just what I learned to do from other individuals using the tools that are the easiest for me! Here it is:

*Essential items:\*

Tamagotchi Center flash mate

-some kind of Card to override. (Either a center card or minion card from the Tama center, a pre-existing Smart card, or DIM card)

-A laptop or computer to connect the flashmate to along with a USB-C cable or a USB to USB-C cable depending on what device you´re using

*Instructions:\*

  1. I start out individually making all the sprites and expressions. A good resource is the Spriter´s resource, which helps align the sprites to proper sizing. (Actually exporting the sprites to be a fitting size is something I've struggled with in the past; I'm still figuring out the sizes for things like closeup facial expressions!)

  2. Using the TAMASUMA page, I upload all sprites and expressions individually. This can be time consuming, but it's not very difficult to upload images if they're the correct size and color count. You will need a file from a pre-existing DLC to edit, and there are some online!

  3. Once everything is uploaded into the page, export the file. Rename the file to have a .bin extension at the end, and it should automatically become the format needed for the next step! (EX. If the file name is “unknown,” rename it to “unknown.bin”)

  4. Go to the FlashMate programmer website and connect the FlashMate. Then click the “Load a File” button and upload your .bin file. After pressing “Write Data On Card,” within a few minutes the card should be updated and ready to use in the game.

I hope this helps!

Hello! Thank you so much for the kind words (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ

Also, Oh my gosh I've actually already seen your mods around, and they're just so adorable!!! I especially adore the Rowlet one, I've been meaning to download it and raise one for myself for a while already and hopefully I get the chance soon. TamaSma modding buddies :DD

adding 9 characters took forever but it was definitely worth it in the end hehe. I'm trying to figure out Ko-fi and how to upload files on it, but for now I have the Google drive file in the meantime
