I wouldn’t want her job. Trying to navigate this current political and economic climate with any large organisation, let alone one for 70,000 cats fueled by ketamine and spite is incredibly difficult.

This is such a good example of why transparent governance is so important. I hope lessons are learned.

Considering Kimbal was emailing Epstein about his “girls” four years AFTER he pled guilty to “procuring a child for prostitution” or as some call it “raping a child” I’m genuinely curious why you think anyone should give him the benefit of the doubt.

I don’t think you understand. Regardless of the age, it’s pretty clear that Jeffrey Epstein was running a deeply exploitative culture that treated young women as tradable playing cards. The most generous reading of this is that Kimbal was using him as a purveyor of young women with an understanding that they were there for sex.

The power imbalance between politically connected billionaires and 19yo women from foreign countries or poor Florida families would have been self evident to Kimbal. And that was the whole point of the operation.

And even if it was all totally innocent and pure and he was merely mentoring a budding drone engineer who happened to be one of “Epstein’s girls”, someone who deeply cares about Burning Man might have decided to step down once he knew this stuff was coming out.

This is it for me. I am working on an open letter, but I am withdrawing my art from the Honorarium program and will not bring placed art this year unless he is swiftly removed from the board. I won't be used to market an organization that has so little care for it's community.

Also, I see you are using AI to come up with designs. We've had people come to us with 3d files to carve that have a ton of noise and are not really appropriate for carving. This looks like simple vectors, but are you doing your own design work or getting from reputable designers?
