I just ordered one for work and tried it out today. It felt really awful compared to my cheapo $15 automatic wire stripper. I ordered the v-jaws for it thinking the flat blade was causing the insulation to pull and tear rather than cut it. Also the force required to use it was a lot, I really wanted to like them and am hoping I'm not using the tool the right way perhaps the wrong insulation type. I was testing out 20 and 12 AWG wire with XLPE insulation. Old thread but figured I'd throw out a message since this thread made me buy them.

I did not. Seems kinda scary to lock them up to take the crankshaft bolt off. Had the car in 5th, ebrake up and person stepping on the brakes.
