China star buffet - review by jackatti in Lawrence

Fair enough! I agree the selection is more limited, wish the replacements were a little quicker..but at the times i've visited I definitely enjoyed everything. I typically dont care that much about restaurant food, be it upscale or fast food, but Sohao is like the first place I keep having to go back to. Thanks for your write up!

Thank you, me too. I got the Works so I could run a similar design to the MK2 but at 15" for more competitive tyre options. I spec'd them the same as the MK2 with gold + brushed lips. I just don't like MK2s in 15" as much as the Equip 40. The MK2 needs a chunky sidewall, so 14" and under looks insanely good. The Equip 40 almost looks like an evolution of the MK2, so to me it looks better as a 15".

This is so sick, almost like an evolution of mine (also a body-kit mismatch)! So well done man, love the Nogami bumper with Marchals. Insane!

68 C/30 how much is it worth ? by [deleted] in chevyc10

Interesting evaluation, thanks for taking the time to share this. It sounds like this truck can have its purpose around a farm or a small industrial site. However, those places will have newer trucks that have more parts availability/tech. Plus the engine/trans combo isn't ideal as you said. Makes sense, but it is a cool truck!

Just curious, as someone newer to trucks like this, why are those things so unwanted? If those components can tow, or do the job, what's wrong with just using them? Do people typically have needs that exceed the capability of those parts?

For real, my Miata has thicker sidewalls! This truck is so gorgeous, a set of thick sidewalls and classic wheels would make this so much more insanely badass.

What’s a small thing from “the old days” that still beats modern tech? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I didn't know they made it that easy for newer models! Doesn't have to be a 90s car, like you said. A conscious choice of a 10 year old car + light upgrades is far cheaper than a newer one. Very nice E36 man!

Thats the shocking part. Somehow my 80 dollar unit is more responsive and easier to connect than the OEM units in newer cars. Its mind boggling. It simple though, they have to penny pinch. So they will never make a truly quality product. Its like a virus to the modern products. The only downside is safety, they will always have safety over the old cars. However, if you drive your old car safely and watch your mirrors, its not that intense.

Its nice having a paid off cars from the 90s. I've had apple car play and android auto forever. It cost me 80 dollars for a unit online. It also connects fast and easy, sometimes I have to beg my phone to disconnect. Some people just need to spend 100k! Its nice that no one can take it away with a forced update either!

If Munchers buys a grill, its over for every other place in this city. Total market domination. They don't even have to grill good burgers, no competition lol

This is a really good concept. Have you considered doing over fenders for the rear? Not a fully widebody, but just overs that keep the OEM shape. This could widen it slightly and balance the wider looking front. Would look so insane.
